Right now I have a standard @gmail.com
account, and I have two different google apps accounts that were set up when it was still free.
one is my personal domain, positively-healthy.com
I paid the extra few bucks for the extended storage which I'm still getting for the moment.
The one for the radio show, thewakeupcallradioshow.com
was set up mainly so we could use gmail for the mail system, a couple of my hosts use GDocs from that account.
I have pages for both of these, but have no need for HOA for the positively-healthy.com
stuff, but do for the radio show.
To make it more fun, I had a YouTube account for my website formerfatdudes.com
and a Google Page that with the help of folks here I was able to get that page linked to that YouTube channel, and since that page/domain isn't tied to an apps account, it let me set up the password for the page like you showed here +Ronnie Bincer
- thanks for that.
When I tried to do the same for the radio show one, I keep getting that error, and finally noticed in the help doc that you can't do it for apps accounts.
Short term, I have things working from my former fat dudes page, did a test run, etc. But long term, I have events I want to do under The Wake Up Call Radio Show... that's why at this point I'm thinking the "best" route is to pass ownership of the page from my @thewakeupcallradioshow.com
account to my standard gmail account... and hoping then it will let me set up a password for the page, so when I do an event I log in as the page and can download/run the extra apps and such.
If I were doing all this from scratch today, I would just funnel everything through a standard gmail account, there's just always been layers of difficulty in doing things through an apps account.
That's the long-winded jist of it... +Dave Webster
if you have any tips, great. If you think chatting via hangouts would be beneficial.. I'm up for it, I have a conference call this evening but could potentially do it late evening or tomorrow. Or let me know what would work for your schedule and I'll make it work.
Thanks, glad I found this community, just reading past stuff has given me some nice tips through this whole process.
