You may be aware that in April 2016 the Government will implement new policy around how expenses are used by contingent workers. This currently seems to apply to both those being paid by PAYE and also those running their own company.So at face value, the end of the "contractor" is nigh IF that contractor is overly exposed to "expenses" as part of the salary calculation. I have had some interesting conversations this week, one of which centred around a mature professional starting his contracting career and that of his children completing Uni and starting in the world of work. We concluded that the education system knows very little about the way of work in the 21st Century. Of course this is a sweeping generic statement, and there will be pockets of knowledge but otherwise I believe it's a fair statement.The ONS...
