Using it has a huge learning curve, but somewhat fun as well. I want to stick with this as long as I can.
IAPs are now show in the App Permissions screen, and parents now have the option to permanently restrict IAPs.
Time to hit the hay. Goodnight Google+.
I'm a New Media Designer at St-Boniface Hospital Research. I work closely with the scientists there (aka principal investigators) by helping them communicate their work to their peers, students, and the general public. By this, I mean I provide any visuals they request. Be it a tri-fold, website for a conference, or a video as a teaching aid.
Off and on I do freelance work under the name of Symbiant Designs. Much of the work I do is the same as what goes on during my full time job. However I found myself becoming specialized in setting clients up with WordPress, and manipulating free themes. This has been found to be very cost effective for both myself, and the client.
If I'm not busy creating a graphic of some sort, or editing a video, you'll often find me toying around with one of my Android devices; a Moto X or my Nexus 7. I've found myself to gain a high interest in mobile devices. The fact that anywhere I go, I have a computer with me; and with that computer, is a constant connection to the world, a camera to capture life, and so much more - it all just captivates me.
Alongside this nerdy habit are other hobbies. I enjoy playing online with my PlayStation 3 (PS3). The game of choice these days is Injustice: Gods Among Us or Battlefield 4. I am also trying to teach myself guitar - but I haven't kept it up as much as I'd like too.
One thing that is always going on, no matter the time of day, or what day of the week it may be, is being a parent and husband. I have a lovely wife, Danielle, who tolerates my nerdy ways very well, and it's been a fantastic 7 year marriage, with many more to come. She also gave me the best birthday gift I could ever receive, four years ago. A daughter.
That's right, folks. My four-year-old daughter and I share a birthday. She's very special to me, and I couldn't imagine a world without her now. She's the light of my day, and is a 3' tall clone of my wife. Love her.
*May 2013 Edit* Our family just grew again! My wife and I had ourselves a second little girl! She's very healthy, and we can tell she's also very strong. Her big sister was very happy to meet her and have a little sister of her own.
It's true. I'm all over the place online. If you were to check out my About.Me page you can see all my blogs, websites, social media pages, etc. But for some odd reason, Google+ has really caught my attention. It feels like home to me. More-so than Facebook ever had.
I'll continue to use Facebook as my personal communication to family and close friends. Things about my daughters for instance will be almost exclusive to that site.
Everything else is already showing up here. That being (and often) things related to Android and other mobile devices, video games, comics, funny images, creative inspiration, useful tips, cool videos, posts from my blog, and more.
So feel more than free to add me to your circles! If you don't seem odd, crazy, or one who'll spam me, I'll probably follow you back. I do try to maintain a good online presence and use etiquette!
