Hey! Do you like spending money imprisoning pot smokers and petty criminals?

You don't?

I don't either! Let's stop that nonsense. Take the pledge to vote yes on Prop 47.

And save California about a billion dollars in the process.

You know. If you live in California and all. If you don't, you probably want to pass. (But keep an eye out for similar measures in your state).
Our broken criminal justice system needs to be reformed! Join the #YesOn47 campaign to begin to fix it. #SmartJustice

Did not know about this. Very cool tool for fighting malaria.

Very cool Kickstarter for peeps with young kids.

Did I say cool? I mean nerdy. But awesome nerdy.
Coding is the new literacy. With ScratchJr, young children (ages 5-7) learn to program their own interactive stories and games.

Westerosi hip hop? I think my inner nerd just met my inner hip hop head and had a bastard love child.

I mean, Josha may be right about HBO's intentions. I dunno. But HBO got the attention of at least one middle aged suburban white nerd.

HBO intends on attracting an "urban" (read: black) audience to Game of Thrones with this.

Wow.

We've been slowly accumulating bowls from these guys at the Ren Faire in Irwindale every year. They're great! I'm looking forward to picking up one or two more next year.

From my Yelp review: I've never been a wings guy. There's a Wing Stop around the corner from our house that my wife craves every blue moon, but I've never had a wing that I couldn't have been happier trading for pretty much anything else. So when my wife hauled a to-go box of wings from some hole in the wall Thai place I'd never heard of to dinner one night, I was thinking I'd just go ahead and make a sandwich, because really, wings? Half a box of wings and fundamental new respect for the form later, yeah, wings. Really. Hendrix's Little Wings are straight fantastic. The chef, an outgoing Thai woman who is apparently carrying on the rich culinary tradition of her late husband, marinates these things in a sticky sweet sauce that clings to the chicken and somehow brings out the crunch of the fried skin while preserving the juicy flavor of the meat inside. They're so good I order them every time we go back to Jazz Melody, which is often, whether or not I get something else as well. So far those something else's have been the Tom Yum soup, which is so good it's making a soup eater out of me, along with the much acclaimed and crazy delicious drunken noodles. We've had the pad Thai as well, which is a good example of the dish but nothing I'd order again given the other options available. The only piece of advice I'd give anyone coming here, apart from seriously, get the wings, is to be aware that the food trends spicy. Fortunately, the owner worked with us every time, and I've only had one dish that was too much for my capsaicin sensitive palate - an otherwise delicious gaeng phet curry. Oh, and don't be driven off by the strip mall location. Like many things in life, the food makes it all worthwhile.

Fantastic salon. Loved the music and decor as much as the cut. Jenelle is meticulous, thorough and charming, and provided an enjoyable experience along with a first rate cut. Cleaned up my goatee, too. Also, beer. Seriously, they have beer. I'll be going to an after work appointment next time around to enjoy it.
