As we enter the season of college acceptances I want to congratulate the Class of 2017 seniors on their accomplishments so far. Today we crossed the $3 million dollar mark for merit based scholarships. So far our Class of 2017 has earned 26 academic scholarships, 5 ROTC/NROTC scholarships, 3 Service Academy appointments, and 1 athletic scholarship. I am hopeful that the coming weeks will bring more good news, big names, and scholarship dollars!

Do you have what it takes to Attack the Castle?!
https://youtu.be/2MqoXGs_WbA

If so, come show your courage on March 18 in Riverside's Attack the Castle 5K/10K adventure race. Runners will have an unparalleled opportunity to enjoy beautiful vistas while running through roads, breezeways, and trails. But, this won't be your standard race, as each runner will negotiate obstacles and defenses established by the Castle's defense force!

Attention 10k runners - Expect the 10k route to be one of the toughest that you have run. This route is characterized by elevation changes, undulating terrain mixing dirt, sand, rock, and trail throughout. The faint of heart need not apply. If you survive the siege you have much to be proud of!

Each 5k/10k race participant will receive a dri-fit t-shirt and an official race water bottle, as well as a goodie bag.

Tell your friends about the race, and use #AttackTheCastle.

Riverside's President, COL William J. Gallagher, reviewed the Corps of Cadets during the August 30 Mess II Pass in Review! COL Gallagher kicked off Riverside's Norman P. Blake Family Distinguished Speaker Series for the 2016-17 school year.
There's always room to improve, but all Cadet Companies and ROCs are working hard to march as a unit in just the second week of school. Great job!

Ms. Sandra Lin's Chinese (Mandarin) I class is practicing vocabulary, sentences, greetings, and more during the first week back to school at Riverside Military Academy!
The cadets are building a foundation for further study of the Chinese language and culture. All students are required to take the internationally accepted HSK test for evaluating Chinese language ability at the conclusion of each course. Students who complete the program and pass the HSK will have a documented professional/academic credential.
