We (family of three) had a great experience with River Riders from check in to the complementary lunch at the Clarion. Check in was a breeze with friendly staff to help with any issues or questions. The bus ride to and from the river was entertaining with "Mac and Cheese" telling... "jokes". Way better then a ride we had last year with their competitor who's driver basically hit us up for a tip the whole way. Our ride down the river with "Billy" as our guide was great even though the water level was low he kept it interesting and fun. We would definitely recommend this to anyone and will be going back, only next time we'll be going with higher water levels.

The staff at River Riders was very friendly both in person and via email. We drove from Asheville, North Carolina to Harpers Ferry to buy a used raft. On our very first day on the water, the entire right side of the raft deflated. The problem was so bad on our second trip that we couldn't take it out anymore. The raft was old and I think the glued seams gave way in the heat. I attempted two different repairs that didn't work. We ended up throwing the raft away. While the staff is very nice and I believe sold us the raft in good faith, it was a waste of our time and money to come up and get it. My take away from this is that I was naive to buy a used raft and won't do that again.

We did the Flatwater Class I but wished we had done the Class II-III, where there is a more significant amount of paddling and maneuvering involved in this trip. In addition, participants should be 5 feet or taller, 10-12 years of age and up, and strong swimmers. On the other hand, if you want to just chill, hang out, eat and drink while riding, then your are better off with the shorter and easier route.

An awesome adventure!! We went rafting down the Shenandoah and the Potomac and had a blast. The guides made everything fun and smooth and everybody has a really good time. If you go for an all day trip you get lunch included. Bring sunscreen because there is a lot of sun out there on the river.

This place was great and very well organized. My only negative comment was that I got a hole in my tube early in the trip and there was no one on the river with a backup tube. But the staff here was great and they really helped us have a great day

Close to DC and a fun option for river tubing with friends. The section of river they let you tube is very short, however. You can get on a bus and go again, but we felt like we were contantly getting back on the bus to head back up river.

Decided to camp at River Riders, river front camp sites for my birthday for two days. We ended up staying a extra four days because this place is awesome. The sites are located right on the Potomac river, some with small piers, 1 ramp to launch from. So much to do tubing, fishing, kayaking, biking, white water rafting, zip lines. Just a short hike to historical Harpers Ferry. The facilities were all very well maintained an sanitary. The staff was extremely helpful an friendly. Petey the campgrounds grounds keeper was always there when we needed help or had any questions about the area. He made sure that we were happy with our stay and be sure we would come back. On site firewood and ice are located on the premises. Some pretty amazing local produce an bbq located just outside the campgrounds. I know forsure we will be returning to the river front campgrounds for more fun with River Riders. The best river front camp grounds I have ever camped at.
