In understanding SOLID in OOP, there is no such thing as "too much" decoupling. However the responsibility of decoupling itself has an accompanying responsibility of improving (1) code traceability - in consideration to manageability and maintainability; (2) documentation - primarily to quickly understand the decoupling rationale, which also significantly adds to maintainability; and (3) simplicity - as decoupled chains tend to increase complexity thus redundant code gets introduced, among other side effects. Increasing complexity is inversely proportional to the timeline of introducing product features and enhancements.

Just finished reading last night "The Florentine Deception" by Carey Nachenberg of Symantec (http://www.symantec.com/about/news/resources/press_kits/bios/bio.jsp?bioid=carey_nachenberg) and concluded yeah it's plausible but still a fiction book, and not prophetic in any way right?
