We were rushed on arrival, then we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to the bar as the lift was broken. There were fruit flies everywhere which was disgusting. I complained about this and the lady said she could not understand where they were coming from but had been a problem for the counter. The third course was brought up while we were still eating the second and just left on the counter. The sommelier would not let my wife taste a red that she wanted as she said we only sell it by the bottle! The dishes were placed in front of us without any explanation of what we were about to eat. Then to top it all off (and I could write a lot more about the bad points) I ordered 2 Irish coffees. When they finally arrived the cream had totally mixed into the coffee. The excuse we were given was that the long walk down from the bar with the coffees had disturbed the drink. I sent them back and the second attempt was exactly the same. The food was ok, but just ok. I think this restuarant has gone massively down hill since the last time we went. Tread with caution of you are looking for a dining experience as you will get this indeed!! The people next to us left without paying at all. This was possibly the worst meal we have had for a long time and certainly not worthy of Michelin recognition. We will definitely not be recommending this restuarant. We have eaten in some of the best restaurants throughout the south of England but were extremely disappointed.

Worth the money. Amazing setting and great food. The pre-theatre deal is almost a steal. The wine list is amazing and has surprisingly affordable options

Nothing to say. Expect what you pay. And pay you will. The flavour combination was excellent. Free flow of bread if you are still hungry. The mash potato was buttery great with emphasis on buttery. Gave a five because it s really an experience. Probably a 4 star if i consider the price and what other great but cheaper i could get.

Service was second to none. We had the tasting menu with matched wines which was incredible, highly recommended. Just to top it all off I had the best Old Fashioned I've ever tasted.

Absolutely fantastic, fine dining at its best, elements added to dishes not because they must, but because they can, and they taste all the better as a result. Can't recommend highly enough, especially if dining alone, where the atmosphere and seating arrangement make it an ideal place to eat alone.

Secret london. If you're looking for a quiet bar in London where you can actually have a conversation. Check out the cocktail bar upstairs.

Had the three-course set menu, and overall experience was excellent. Server was very attentive, and also provided a couple of amuse-bouches during the meal. The presentation of the salmon main was particularly eye-catching (relative to what others at my table ordered), as well as the Paris-Brest dessert. The poached pear dessert is a popular choice and an equally great finish to the meal.
