Raccoon Damage Repair Job in Columbia, South Carolina

Josh B. sent this picture of a raccoon damage repair job in progress at a house in Columbia, South Carolina.

The damage was localized and the raccoon promptly trapped and removed, so it didn't have enough time to do any more damage than what shows in the picture. Had the customer waited, the damage would have been much worse.

Flying Squirrel Damage to the Ridge Vent of a House in Columbia, South Carolina

Tim sent this picture of a ridge vent on a Columbia home that was utterly destroyed by a flying squirrel who was desperate to find a new hangar. Obviously, it will need to be replaced with something more durable.

As for the flying squirrel, once we trap it, it will be humanely removed and relocated to some other location where its aeronautical skills will be more appreciated (or at least less-resented).

Rid-A-Critter provides flying squirrel removal, exclusion, and damage repair services throughout the Greater Columbia, South Carolina area. Please visit us at https://columbia.ridacritter.com/flying-squirrel-removal-columbia.php to learn more about these interesting animals and their control.

Moisture Damage and a Squirrel Hole in a House in Atlanta

Someone actually did a halfway decent job of sealing off the rain gutter at this house in Atlanta, but neglected to fix the water problem that was rotting away the sheathing. A squirrel who was a not above the rest in terms of intelligence decided to use that oversight at an opportunity to get into the roof.

Moisture problems and animal damage often come as a package. Sometimes the animals cause the damage, and other times they just take advantage of it. Fortunately, Rid-A-Critter fixes both problems, leaving your home both squirrel-free and waterproof.

Rats Got Into this Marietta Home from Around the Gas Pipe

At least I think it's a gas pipe. I suppose it could be some other kind of pipe. But it looks like a gas pipe to me.

Whatever the case, whoever installed it did a less-than-wonderful job sealing around it, which rats used to their advantage to get into the home. It looks to me like they may have used mortar mix (which shrinks and crumbles) rather than patching cement (which doesn't).

Rid-A-Critter provides safe, non-chemical rat removal in Marietta and throughout the Metro Atlanta area. Please visit us on the Interwebs at https://atlanta.ridacritter.com/rat-removal-control-atlanta.php to learn more about our eco-friendly rat control services.

Handyman Dryer-Vent Animal-Proofing in Atlanta - FAIL

I'm not sure what kind of animal they were trying to seal out of this house, but unless it was mosquitoes, that screening was never going to do it. Worse yet, had it gotten clogged up with Dryer lint, it could have caused the house to catch fire.

Rid-A-Critter installs animal-resistant, energy-saving clothes dryer vents as part of our comprehensive animal-proofing services. Raccoon Entry through the Soffit of a House in Atlanta, Georgia

Chris S. sent this picture of a sagging soffit that a raccoon was using to get into an Atlanta home. Whether the raccoon caused the damage or just took advantage of it, I don't know; but I'm sure it appreciated the vines, which made it much easier to climb up there.

Rid-A-Critter's Metro Atlanta office provides raccoon trapping, removal, and damage repair in the City of Atlanta and throughout the entire Metro Area. Rat's-Eye-View of a Rat Hole at an Atlanta Rat Control Job

To trap a rat, you have to think like a rat, which is what Justin did at this rat control job in Atlanta. This hole was being used by Norway rats to get into and out of this building. It's an ideal hole for them because it's just big enough for them to squeeze through, but not big enough for cats, canines, exterminators, or others who mean the rat harm to follow.

Norway rats like to stick to the ground and the lower levels of a house. Roof rats, on the other hand, tend to stay near the upper levels. Although both species are found throughout Georgia, Norway rats are slightly more common in urban areas like Atlanta, and roof rats slightly more common in rural areas of the state.

Rid-A-Critter provides safe, eco-friendly, non-chemical rat control in Atlanta and throughout the Metro Area. Please visit us on the Web at https://atlanta.ridacritter.com/rat-removal-control-atlanta.php to learn more about our rat control services.

Rat Damage to the Roof of a House in Columbia, South Carolina

It's hard to tell where the starting point was that this rat used to gnaw its way into this house in Columbia. The sheathing looks like it extended to the fascia (which is refreshing). I'm guessing that the layers of plywood started separating and created enough of a gap for the rat to wrap its jaws around.

I may not know for sure how the rats got into this house, but I do know that we can keep them out of this house. Rid-A-Critter's Columbia office has sealed rats out of homes throughout Columbia and all of Richland County, South Carolina.

Justin Found Damage to the Gable Vent at this Macon, Georgia Squirrel-Removal Job

It looks like the squirrels tried the wood at the openings above and below the slat they finally settled on when deciding how to gnaw their way into this house in Macon. Why would they do that instead of focusing their efforts on one piece of wood to get done more quickly? Probably because they're not deep thinkers. Squirrels are very good at gnawing. Reasoning, not so much.

The Macon office of Rid-A-Critter provides safe, humane squirrel removal and squirrel-proofing in Macon, which is mighty convenient, it being right there and all. We trap and remove squirrels from your home and seal it up tight so they can't get back in. No poisons are used, and no squirrels are harmed.
