Today I finally managed to get our MAAS install upgraded to 1.8. It's a much nicer/cleaner UX than before. Very nice to see.

We also added our 6th nuc to the cluster in order to add some space for some functional testing of Juju deployments. This brings us up to 3 Juju different environments operating over 20 services on 6 fanless pieces of hardware.

The amazing thing here is that our team has truly embraced the best tool for the job. In this case, we're choosing the best clouds.

We run continuous integration, QA, and testing on these Nucs. Performance is great, they're running low power 24/7.

Once we're ready we take the same tools and bring up a temporary QA environment in EC2, Azure, or GCE. This allows us to do a shared QA of the entire stack in a 'production-like' setup with HA and everything. Once we're solid we can tear it down.

Finally, we use the same tools again to take that to upgrade our production running on the company's OpenStack cloud. 

If it's a private (MAAS or OpenStack) cloud or public (EC2/Azure) cloud we get to use one set of tools that the whole team can manage and really focus on our applications.
