Doing well! My little one has been asking if it is Christmas tomorrow since late November so he really is excited this year.

Knowing little about the historical context, I enjoyed Siege of Jadotville on Netflix which depicts Irish UN soldiers besieged by mercenaries in Africa.

But today on the BBC, I read the UN is re-opening an inquiry into the plane crash that killed then US Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold. The official inquiries so far have been inconclusive as to whether foul play was involved but in the movie, the director has a scene clearly suggesting the plan was shot down.

Was extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to visit this beautiful waterfront property with private beach in Pebble Beach yesterday. I didn't want to leave. Carmel Beach in the distance, The Lodge off to the left.

Photographer, UCLA Bruin, Father, Historian, Enlightened
Husband, father of two boys, college sports fan (UCLA), amateur historian and photographer, search marketer, not necessarily in that order.

I was an early convert to digital my first camera being the 2 MP Olympus C2000 with whopping 4 & 8 MB SmartMedia memory cards. The batteries would last no more than an hour or so and less with the LCD in use...oh those were the days! Mostly a Canon convert now so I can easily share lenses with my father and most of my friends. First Canon body was the 20D but now use 1D IV, new 5D III and the much smaller Fuji X100 as it can be with me at all times.

Sentimental favorite lens, the old Canon 28-70mm f/2.8 which I'll hold onto until they have something comparable with IS. Love primes but the only one I own at present is the 28mm 1.8.

I don't review often, but when I do it's usually really good or really bad. My review philosophy is set against expectations so I may provide 5 stars for both a dive burger joint as well as a fine dining establishment if both exceed expectations. Seems silly to me to give 3 stars for an amazing experience just because the place doesn't have cloth napkins.

Skiing wasn't like this when I was a kid. These folks really take care of all your needs, whether it be ski instruction (I recommend John Aadland), ski and boot concierge, food, an ideal location and it's super kid friendly. A brief gondola ride will take you into Northstar Village where there is ice skating, more food options, shopping and a movie theater. The in-season prices aren't for the faint of heart but you get what you pay for.

At last count, we've now taken 5 different cars to Reitmeir's so qualified finally to write a review. I don't love having to go there but do have complete trust in their abilities and honesty. Just about everyone we know who owns German take their cars there and they have a very loyal local following.

Busy, casual, lively spot with good food. Could be noisy, not an intimate or romantic vibe. Better for meeting friends than a business dinner or date night. Liverpool FC was busy enjoying themselves in the upstairs private party room on the night we were there. Recommended.

Wonderful place to visit as a family. Lots of kid friendly activities and dining in a semi rural setting. Nice and comfortable but not too fancy. Within a 2 two hour drive from much of the greater Bay Area and they have Tesla changing stations. I wish their DVD selection for the kids was better but next time I'd just bring my own so not a big deal.

Want a play structure that you want to play in yourself? Barbara has you covered. Her custom play structures are amazing and sturdy enough to last a joke. They are every bit as nice in person as they are on the website and the purchasing process through installation is a breeze. They have everything from customizable template designs to full custom castles that are only limited by your imagination.
