Sometimes social media can do some great things. Let's do something for this kid tonight......

Steve is a great friend of my brother, who he met when they were both undergoing chemotherapy in the same hospital.

Steve is an absolute inspiration. He is the most positive person I have ever met, and it is an honour to know him.

Unfortunately Stephen's struggling to pull through now, but the one thing he wanted to do before he goes is to raise £1,000,000 for +Teenage Cancer Trust. Today alone he has raised over £120,000 (with a total of £712,000), with some incredible support on Twitter from his friends and numerous celebrities.

Even if you can't donate, just having a read of his story can really put things in perspective.

Support "app" writers

The next time you see an Android/Apple app that looks interesting but are put off getting it because it is not free, consider this.....
1) It probably costs a fraction of the minimum wage hourly rate, yet took hundreds of skilled hours to write.
2) It probably costs less than a pint or a glass of wine, and the person writing it used hours they could have been having that pint writing it.
3) The developer probably paid out quite a bit in testing as many types of phone as possible, and will get very little of that back
4) Paying a small amount to support developers that create apps enables you to keep being offered varied apps at comparatively cheap prices. If a developer can't support themself writing apps, then only big companies will. When that happens ALL decent apps will cost money and they will have to charge more than a couple of quid.

Writing apps is just as creative as woodwork, painting, writing novels /music, etc. If you want to keep variety and enable people to do things differently from the corporations, support app writers.

I've been having a problem with a couple of inconsiderate people that I share a communal parking area with. I put a polite note on their cars and that seemed to just egg them on to be even more inconsiderate. I wonder if this on the notice board will catch their (and hopefully the other residents') attention.....

....there is another website called www.youparklikea....actually maybe better to use its current ip address 64.13.192.102. There are kids where I live and I think what I used was close enough to the mark.

I'm starting to think that ALL football supporters in the UK are Manchester United fans....

.....because they ALL seem so happy that a bad manager has been sacked. Either that or they are all a bit thick and don't realise that Moyes being sacked is good for United and potentially very bad for their team. I wonder which it is? ;-)
