A graveyard of Mining Trucks on the edge of town from the local Meandu Coal Mine. Truck Automation trials began last year at the mine in partnership with Hitachi Japan which will probably see more disposal of these old assets.

A spider web, spiderweb, spider's web, or cobweb (from the archaic word coppe, meaning "spider") is a device created by a spider out of proteinaceous spider silk extruded from its spinnerets.

Spider webs have existed for at least 100 million years, as witnessed in a rare find of Early Cretaceous amber from Sussex, southern England. Insects can get trapped in spider webs, providing nutrition to the spider; however, not all spiders build webs to catch prey, and some do not build webs at all. "Spider web" is typically used to refer to a web that is apparently still in use (i.e. clean), whereas "cobweb" refers to abandoned (i.e. dusty) webs. However, "cobweb" is used to describe the tangled three-dimensional web of some spiders of the theridiidae family. While this large family is also known as the tangle-web spiders, cobweb spiders and comb-footed spiders, they actually have a huge range of web architectures. Ref:Wikipedia

Gave my trusty old $60.00 lens another work out today.

The modern English word blue comes from Middle English bleu or blewe, from the Old French bleu, a word of Germanic origin, related to the Old High German word blao. In heraldry, the word azure is used for blue.

Found a graveyard of Mining Trucks from the local Meandu Coal Mine. They are in the process of being stripped which makes for some interesting grungy industrial photos in Black and White. Watch this space for more to come.......

A windmill is a mill that converts the energy of wind into rotational energy by means of vanes called sails or blades. Centuries ago, windmills usually were used to mill grain, pump water, or both. Thus they often were gristmills, wind pumps, or both. The majority of modern windmills take the form of wind turbines used to generate electricity, or wind pumps used to pump water, either for land drainage or to extract groundwater.

Street art is often motivated by a preference on the part of the artist to communicate directly with the public at large, free from perceived confines of the formal art world. Street artists sometimes present socially relevant content infused with esthetic value, to attract attention to a cause or as a form of “art provocation”.

Went through some old archive photos from 2011 and came across some Black and White shots I took with my old Canon 50D while in Japan that year traveling the Yamaguchi area.

A three image panorama shot with the Loreo Lens In A Cap fitted to the OM-D E-M5 with an EOS lens adapter. The Lens In A Cap has a fixed focal length of 35mm full frame which is 70mm on the Olympus. The lens has five aperture settings allowing you to adjust from f/5.6 to f/64 and is pre-focussed from 50cm to infinity. A f/5.6 setting gives a soft ortinish image. Stopping the lens down to f/64 turns the camera into pocket pin hole camera giving a sharp matte like image.

Introduction
I am a photographer (the Greek φῶς (phos), meaning “light”, and γραφή (graphê), meaning “drawing, writing”, together meaning “drawing with light”) a person who takes photographs. I am an Australian amateur who takes photographs for pleasure.

Good photography comes from that moment when light, location and composition all combine to capture and create emotion. To capture emotions, to record special moments, and preserve memories is an unique opportunity. Richard
