Hello: I have an app that is a calculator. There is a lot of data generated from the calculator so I have broken the results into logical slices.

What I can not figure out is how to sequence through the slices like pages of a book (across columns not up or down through rows).

I have attempted to solve this by giving each slice the unique key that corresponds to a row. Each view then has this corresponding unique row key

When I access the menu item which presents the view/slice the UI defaults back to the first row of data and I must scroll horizontally (forward and back arrows) to get to the unique row I am wanting to see.

What I can not figure out how to do is to present the data identified by the unique key for that row and scroll across the columns using the arrow buttons and not down the rows.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Hi, I am in need of some direction. I have a pretty complex spreadsheet and row 2 data is used on subsequent pages where calculations are performed.

I use appsheets to populate the row 2 cells doing an update only. At this point a user enters data into the app and these values are placed in row 2 cells. The back end calculations take place and computed values from row 2 are presented to the user. All is fine

But...I can not add data to subsequent rows as the reference for the calculations is now invalid.

So, adding data to rows 3, 4, 5... does not work because the background calculations are looking at row 2 cells.

So, I have been trying to figure out how to write the results to a new sheet. I simply want to read the row 2 dats an sheet one and present it to the user in table form (this I have) and then add the info to a new sheet and a new row for each submission.

Any way to do this? Thanks!

 Hello all:

I am new here and have a question!

Namely; I have a multi sheet spreadsheet.  The cover page (top sheet) has rows headings and data cells.  Some are input cells and some are results determined by calculations on subsequent sheets.  The  data structure on the calculating sheets is not a nice format.  There are many calculations and lookup, if statements, and complex formulas. subtotals on various  rows etc...

So in short: How does this product interface with this type of scenario.  Will the app connect to the top sheet of the spreadsheet only, thus, leaving the calculations on the spreadsheet (google sheets).

OR

If not, then how well does it interpret the complexities of the calculated cells and data structures on the calculation/formula/data sheets?  In other words Will I need to reformat the entire spreadsheet so that only a single item is in a row?

I appreciate any help in understanding this.  Rich
