NO Scot has seen this sight for around 550 years — but from next week, visitors to the Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum will have the chance to view the lost tomb of Robert the Bruce – recreated in 3D.

Beware of 'Party KIlts' which can be purchased at tourist shops in Scotland - they can blow up easily, crease, catch fire and generally let the wearer down when a full weight kilt provides necessary security.

Excellent restored theatre presenting major musicals, dance and opera. Originally named the Empire Palace Theatre built in 1892 (on site of former theatre) then following a fire in 1911 rebuilt and re-opened in 1928, and restored with new frontage and re-opened in 1994. Theatre hosts main Edinburgh International Theatre events and now also hosts Edinburgh International Film Festival Galas. Theatre has great amenities and though seating can be slightly uncomfortable and film sound acoustic has been problematic, these are minor blemishes in what is otherwise a first rate venue.

Some rooms are refurbished and these are superb. Breakfast is nothing exceptional (tired bacon, sausage and egg etc). Staff mixed - bar staff slow and surly. Watch bar /bistro Sirloin Steak tough as leather - hopefully an one off and chef was off but be wary.
