I finally figured out how to convert my panoramas and get them to show up properly as a "photosphere" in Google+ so I can share them and you can view them. This example is a 360 photosphere panorama taken while we were visiting Nga Peak on the Iles des Pins of New Caledonia in 2011. Friends from two other boats were with us in this climb (s/v Kilkea II, and s/v Callisto) and they can be seen sitting near Karen at the base of the cross. The view was worth the climb up here!
Gopro Hero3+ Black Edition quick review. Got it today. Shot comparison images side by side with synched Hero3 Black Edition. Here's why I ordered the new improved Hero3+ GoPro's website says: "Smaller, lighter, mightier still. HERO3+ Black Edition. 20% smaller and lighter than its best-selling predecessor, it delivers improved image quality and powerful new features geared for versatility and convenience. 4x faster Wi-Fi, a sharper lens HERO3+ Black Edition is the most advanced GoPro yet." Well, take a look. None of the hype proved to be correct. The two cameras are exactly the same size and weight as my old Hero3 (but the 3+ underwater case is slightly smaller). Colors are a tiny bit more accurate. WiFi is exactly the same. My old Hero3 beat the Hero3+ in resolution in almost every image. Sky noise was the same in both. Check out these full size crops with the two synced cameras. Verdict - the Hero3 and the Hero3+ are the same cameras with an extra + sign printed on the "new" model.
