I lost a good "virtual" friend today. I learned that Sky Sanders had died in a motorcycle crash. He was an amazing person and a huge inspiration. I've spent most of the day just reviewing several conversations we've had over the years. This is a huge loss. RIP Sky, you are missed.

I lost my last at of good ear plugs. These look like they might be a good alternative. Bonus that you can still use your phone with them.

Anyone try the +Withings Pulse yet?
It tracks a ton of info including pulse, pedometer, elevation and distance. Battery life is about two weeks. I'm thinking this might be a good product to review.

So I was playing around with the settings on my wife's G+ account and I noticed she was getting a red box (now a red ball) notification for every single public post I was making. I hate spamming notification boxes. What settings do I need to change (on either account) to fix this? I thought I had already fixed this, but I guess not.

Would love to hear a rational explanation for this.
In the immortal words of Keanu Reeves, "WHOA!"
Russia is a scary place, full of vodka, krokodil, and banyas. But none of those things can explain the mysterious appearance of a random car, as it seems to materialize out of thin air. Is it actually a ghost? A remnant from the Philadelphia Experiment? Or something far more sinister?

Official Google+ for TOUCH - Special Preview Event on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 9/8c!

When we paid I thought it was going to be over's NOT. It was an amazing experience! We paid extra for the VIP pass for the kids which gives them two feedings at each interactive exhibit and a choice between feeding the rhino or a camel ride (normally $5 or 5 tokens). Unlike the reviews I read, there was plenty of food for the kids to really enjoy the experience. The animals were friendly, the staff knowledgeable and grounds were well maintained.

The food was soooo much better when it was The Burger Stand. Now it's trying to be what it was and falling flat. I'll stick with The Burger Stand.

NO MORE BUFFET and a raging upset stomach. I've eaten here countless times for the buffet and always enjoyed it. On this trip however, we learned they have stopped doing the buffet and the menu now matches the one on 23rd St. The buffet was really the only reason to go, now that it is gone I don't think I will be back. The GI issue was just the icing on the porcelain cake. Our entrees were brought out one at a time with a good 5-8 minute gap between each person. By the time the 4th person got their dinner, the first person was finished eating. The first order wasn't complete and the rest of her order was brought out with the 4th person's plate....20+ minutes later. The food was just okay. I would even call it average for buffet food....but this wasn't a buffet. The staff is still friendly, but unless they are deciding to get out of the restaurant industry and into the "lets be friends business", they need to make some significant changes.

It's hard to believe that for years Lawrence was lacking in the breakfast department. Mirth has been added to my short list of places to start my day. They have a great self-service coffee bar and the sweet potato hash is amazing.

So the decor may not be much but I'm there for the food. Tortas Jalisco isn't the typical TexMex you get at all the other places. It's Jalisco style food from family recipes. Yeah, they'll charge ya for the chips and salsa but they are made from scratch. Best bet is the chilaquiles and don't forget the egg.
