When you cruise out of Miami, do you stay in South Beach or avoid it?

I used to avoid it, but after my 48 hours trip last month it will be my go to pre-cruise spot:

I traveled to Miami for 72 hours to capture as much content as possible to help cruisers get the most out of their pre or post cruise stay in Miami. These are my favorite photos from my 2014 South Beach Trip. While in Miami, I was able to practice my new hobby of flying my DJI Phantom Quadcopter which you will see in a few of the photos. With tons of investment being made in South Beach Hotels, it is once again the a go to destination fo...

A month ago, I injured my lower back working out. It would hurt bad standing up after sitting. After standing and stretching for a while the pain was manageable. I was even able to still lift weights after stretching with a foam roller. The pain persisted for a month and then my wife signed us up for a 5K race [I was not aware she was doing this]. Prior to hurting my back, my typical cardio workout was playing basketball, so on the Tuesday before the Saturday 5K I decided to push myself to play basketball. It did not end well... I hurt my lower back much worse to the point that the next morning I had difficulty walking. I had never been to a Chiropractor... but I wanted to get my back checked out to see how much damage I had done and to see if it was at all possible I could run in the 5K. I found Dr. Leibman on Google and gave Matthews Chiropractic a call. They were able to squeeze me in on Thursday. After figuring out my pain spots and positions that caused pain, Dr. Leibman used several different therapies to loosen up my back. I decided to come back on Friday for another session to try to get ready for the Saturday 5K run. After my Friday appointment, my back felt much better but I was still concerned it would hurt the next morning before the race. I woke up before the race with very little pain. I ran the race with no pain. I'm not a big runner, but I finished the race in under 30 minutes which is better than the last time I ran a 5K. Plus, I beat my wife who happened to beat me the last time we ran a 5K. :) The pain in back persisted for a month before I really hurt it on Tuesday. I know there was no way I would have been able to run the 5K without my visits to Dr. Leibman!

The clam chowder lived up to the hype! The Lobster seafood bake & Crab dip were delicious. Kids loved the fried shrimp. The Horseradish Tuna was good. Wish I would have gotten the Shrimp & Grits instead. We got there before 6pm and were set immediately. Service was excellent.
