Introduction
I'm MD at one of the UK's leading chemical suppliers, ReAgent.  I also created an information resource about chemistry called The Chemical Blog.  I have a range of interests including chemistry, business, marketing and technology.  In my spare time I am the Webmaster for Deeside Wakeboard and Waterski Club.  I keep a personal blog at RichHudson.co.uk.

I've just returned from my first visit at Sticky this evening. While there were a number of positive aspects, it also left something to be desired. Good points - the food and wine were very good. It had an informal feel to it. Intimate. Quirky setting. Innovative menu. Food looks fabulous. Bad points - the intimacy can work two ways. The first half of our meal was a romantic setting with my wife, for the latter half it was very noisy as the tables around us all filled up. The service was OK but the staff were too regimented at only serving their own tables. The quirkiness can also work two ways; personally I wasn't a fan. In all, it wasn't bad, but there are restaurants in Chester around a similar price point with better venues, decor and service (Upstairs at the Grill, for example). I have wanted to go to Sticky since it topped the reviews of restaurants in Chester. It isn't there any more - rightly so. It's a little overrated, I was hoping for more.

Love this place. Not a massive fan of the decor and the seats aren't the most comfortable (antique seating rarely is comfortable) but everything else is always superb - the food in particular is extraordinary.

Great company - I have used KDE for many years and been happy with their service every time. Tradesmen are punctual, efficient and well presented. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.
