Hate or Love #samsung . Call it a marketing ploy or gimmick. If one life is saved from it, then we definitely need more of more "gimmicks" here in the states! #muchrespect  
It may not be as attention-catching as Google's driverless vehicle, but Samsung's Safety Truck will increase on-the-road visibility for truck drivers and other road traffic. Samsung says that its truck will not just change lives, but save them.
