The brazilian president Dilma Rousseff announced today(on TV) that starting on next year, the price of electricity will be cut in 28% for industry and 16% for regular consumers as a way to fight the effects of global recession in Brazil.

Those cuts are intended to reduce industry costs and put extra cash in the local market through the population, the changes should also reflect as a reduction in products price for internal market and will increase the global competitiveness of Brazilian products.
