Understanding Google PageRank...
Pagerank and SEO - understanding the web visibility:

AuthorRank or PageRank...  Confusing?

From Wikipedia:
PageRank is a link analysis algorithm, named after +Larry Page  and used by the Google web search engine, that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web, with the purpose of "measuring" its relative importance within the set. The algorithm may be applied to any collection of entities with reciprocal quotations and references.

In simpler terms:
PageRank is what Google uses to determine the importance of a web page. It is one of many factors used to determine which pages appear in search results.

My personal Google+ pagerank seems to be 5.

Get yours by pasting your G+ ID URL here:

In this format:
From business pages URL's, remove the b/u/ etc.

My pages:

+Gplussa  has a pagerank of 4 and +Google+ Helper  has 3.

Which is really strange as the latter is more active and gets much more interaction, has more +1's and followers.
The first because of Finnish language and less Pages?
The second because of new users interacting - users whose pagerank is low?

I think it all boils down to:
Not the quantity but the quality of Google+ interactions.

The best way to increase your PageRank is to have quality content that other people want to link. People with high PR, especially. They give you the Google+ Juice...

I try to do exactly that but I still don't understand the low PR for the Helper page...  Hmm.

Google juice

A website's relevant value as determined by the Google search engine. The more "juice" a site has, the more likely it will turn up in search results. This is especially true when the search terms aren't the title of that site.

Google's particular method, known as PageRank, determines this importance according to who links what. If a high-ranking site links to a low-ranking one, that site will be given lots of juice. If a low-ranking site links to something, it doesn't have as much relevance. The text of the link also is taken into account.

Google Juice is very important in Search Engine Optimization. It's also the cause of cursed things like comment spam, link exchanges, and link blogs. This is collectively called spamdexing.

Google: Stock Photos Don’t Hurt Your Rankings…Yet

This is an interesting video from +Matt Cutts:

Luckily I have created my own stock photos and use a lot of screenshots, so hopefully this will be implemented in the future! :-)

Useful Chrome Extensions:

Domain Page Rank :
Nice little extension for viewing the page rank of the Domain

Page Page Rank :
This extension will show you the page rank of the specific Page. This is possibly the only extension I found that will display the pages pagerank in the extension bar rather than the domain page rank.

No Follow Simple :
Great little extension for finding out which links are passing link juice and which are not.
