Here is one of my clients and an amazing aussie yogi teacher I train online through WhatsApp it’s been three weeks of incredible awesomeness, learnings, break throughs and a new friendship forming. Two more weeks to go love this beautiful soul @skyeyogi

It definitely took a while to get going today. This is the second a final round of strength training. It’s subtle not fancy, and the hardest round for me yet. I’m working with pins in each hip so the hip flexor work is challenging (check out serious face 🤨)
.
I’m also noticing effects the 🍷🍾 and late nights in my system. .
It was really hard to get going and the excuses not to were loud and appealing. However, what I realised today was, once we start living in alignment, it becomes so bloody obvious when we are out of synch with our health, our goals, our rhythms
.

#toetaptuesday tap in or tap out of life.
Our light becomes healing when our light allows us to get up close to one another to find ourselves in each others stories. Because when we see ourselves in each others lights it is when we feel encouraged or empowered. That is the true beauty of our lights within. We all stare at the sun in awe of its beautiful light but it does not allow for us to get up close. It is inspiring but it is also dangerous and at some point we will also feel pain from it when it burns us. Just like the light of pretending who we are . Human beings are built for connection. Our connection is in our cracks, our cracks are where we meet and connect with others. Our cracks are not signs of being broken, degraded or rubbish. They are a sign of our strengths, how we come through one challenge after the next. How we rise above the chaos of the world to still be here through our laugh, our love, our kindness, our smiles and so much more. This light is what we need more of.

You can always do this near the wall, building more awareness in hips control and core awareness in space. Remember it’s not about perfection it’s about growth we will be coming back down again soon but some times we need to go up and upside down to face our fears to realize that it’s not about the mountain top it’s about the journey. Sometimes we need to try flying to realize falling is actually beautiful learnings of awareness. Stop looking for what you can focus on what you can or learn.

Transformation Tuesday
#transformationtuesday 2.5 weeks after giving birth after Laine. 6 months no exercise first time training. Today doing a shoulder stand over 4.5 Years later. Took me years. I did it all at home. No gym or babysitter. What was the hardest bit? Standing up knowing I was worth more than my excuses and my limited mind set. “It took me a long time to realize that you can do everything right and still end up unhappy. You can say all of the right things, do exactly as you are told, follow in the footsteps of all the people who swore by their success and their strategy surrounding it, and you can still end up displaced — because you didn’t ever choose to simply listen to yourself.
The best thing I ever did for myself was simply listen to what I actually wanted. I drowned out the guidelines, the advice, the ‘shoulds.’ And I messed up. I made mistakes that I’ll never forget. I hurt people I loved, and I got hurt.
See, self discovery isn’t this comfortable, miraculous thing. It can get ugly, it can get confusing. It’s gritty, it’s hard. It’s difficult to confront yourself sometimes, it’s difficult to be the person who does things differently, who doesn’t settle.
But it’s the greatest gift you will ever give yourself. It will push you towards figuring out what your own personal version of happiness looks like; and when you grow on your own terms, when you figure out what actually matters to you, and when you carve out your own path, you live on your own terms. You love on your own terms. You become the person you have always wanted to be, rather than the person you were always told to be, and that is beautiful. People see glamour when they see fitness models. People see beauty when they say a fit physique. I see blood, sweat, tears, determination, challenges, hardwork and respect. Every muscle I see was not a goal it was a side benefit to working on my health and fitness. I wanted to be real I wanted you to see me in my workout. These two photos were taken half way through my workout, when I did not think I could continue. Sweaty, red faced and exhausted. This wasn’t easy but I did it. Fitness isn’t a quick fix, it is lifestyle. Fitness to me is standing up at 5am when everyone else is sleeping. Fitness to me is saying I can when everyone believes I cant. Fitness is my life, it is not a hobby it is my wealth in life not money, but my health is my real wealth. Because when I have my health I can do anything and all the hard work to achieve anything I put my mind to..

Don’t tell me I have it easy or tell someone they are lucky when they are fit please have some respect for the hardwork and dedication that they commit to, to achieve their real wealth their health.
