Doggone it, it's Game of Bones!
There are few things we love in this world more than Game of Thrones—outside of slightly inappropriate and innuendo-laced headlines—but one of those things is definitely puppies. Especially puppies that get dressed up and recreate our favorite TV series—which is exactly what cutie pooch Crusoe the Dachshund did in honor of the sixth season of the HBO fantasy series. And despite all the ruff puns we could make right now, doggone it, we're just goi...

Pretty good list here.
Those who have made the pilgrimage to San Diego for Comic-Con International in recent years know it's not just about the exclusive footage, the celebrity sightings or the swag – though those are great perks as well. It's also about the parties. As the annual convention has grown in size, scope and attendees in the past decade, so have the number of events for those in the industry looking to schmooze away from the exhibition floor....

How 99.9% of people judge the quality of their coffee - I Love Coffee

The Oatmeal did a guest post for me about how most people judge the quality of their coffee.

Ever since the first time I've used their kiosk here, I've never bothered to look elsewhere for a rental. It's quick, easy, and convenient. I can get to my car in only a few minutes. Always a great experience here!

Before my best friend got married a few years ago, she mentioned not wanting anything wild and crazy for her bachelorette party. Being in charge of the planning, I knew just the place to have it. That, and I've been wanting to have a tea party idea for days. The reservation process and service the day of the event were excellent. Our menu consisted of salad, 4 types of tea sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, petit fours, bread pudding and 4 types of tea. I had forgotten to exclude a few guests who couldn't make it, so there was more than enough to go around. One of the owners was nice enough to take a picture of our group at the table and in front of their Christmas tree. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Two thumbs and a pinkie up to you, Angelica, and thank you!

Visited this place 3 times just to try and snatch up a Saul Q chain because it always sold out online. It was as good as mine seeing as it was on display at the store. Made sure to swoop that one up quick. My friends who visited with me from SF didn't leave empty handed either. I think they each got a pair of Knockarounds. Yes, I recruited a few more fans of this lovely establishment. Even came back the next day and got the Neighborhood hoodie. Had thoughts about getting it before, but wasn't about to play the waiting game with that one. An absolute retail gem in Downtown SD. Best believe I'll be back (or ordering online if I can't get back there soon enough)!

A while back, a friend of mine had a craving for lox and bagel. I did a quick search and this place came up on the list. I'm surprised I didn't bookmark it then. Headed over after church and my food radar zoomed in on the Traditional. Cream cheese, lox, tomato, onion and capers on your choice of bagel. Chose the sun dried tomato and couldn't have been happier. Served open face, they placed each half in a small container. With a single vanilla latte added to the mix, it was pheNOMenal. The lady at the counter was very sweet too. It's now become a breakfast staple for me whenever I visit SD.

Looks can often be deceiving when it comes to the sweet stuff. What looks incredible on the outside can taste like complete crap once you dig into it. I'm sure we've had that type of moment at one point in our lives. Trust me when I say you can leave your doubts about desserts at the door when you come here. After some recommendations through friends and looking at the menu itself, I wasn't quite yet convinced to order a piece of their Shangri-La cake. I completely passed up the display case on my way in, so I headed back to it before the waiter took our orders. Seeing the massive white and pink (hate that color) wonder before my eyes was plenty enough confirmation that I had made a wise decision. As a self-proclaimed chocoholic, I shocked myself for choosing something made with white chocolate. Call me biased, but I often tend to dislike the latter because it in no way tastes like its brown, cocoa-based counterpart. I put that love/hate relationship to rest when I indulged in this slice of layered white chocolate/guava/strawberry/vanilla bliss. Although I had a preconception of it being dense, the texture was rather light. No food coma from dessert? Awesome! My friend had me try a bit of her chocolate croissant bread pudding. Now that stuff was rich; pure chocolate overload with the bread pudding itself and sides of chocolate dipping sauce and double chocolate chip ice cream. It takes serious balls for an establishment to live up to its name, but this place wears it well. Stay classy and extraordinary, ED.

Proof that SD has some of the most amazing Mexican food out there. My friend called ahead while en route to see if we could reserve the VIP corner. Unfortunately, it has to be done 24 hours in advance. Whoopsies. No prob, Bob! There was a bit of a line when we arrived. Not surprised on that part since it's gotten a popularity boost from Man vs. Food. The Surfin' California burrito was unbelievably delish. I took a moment to peep the contents of it after I cut it in half. One bite had me entering the gates of burrito heaven. If I had allowed myself to, I would have finished the whole thing in one sitting. I took the other half with me and finished it later instead. It's a must that I drag a few more people with me next time. And if the timing is good, we'll be able to get that corner and grub like champions. A wise luchador once said, "When you are a man sometimes you wear stretchy pants in your room. It's for fun." I'd consider putting this advice to good use here. Depending on how much you plan on ordering, you might need them.

On here, the hours show that they open at 11am. We got there a little after and they apologized and told us they wouldn't open until noon. Okay, sure. Good thing the movie my friend and I wanted to watch was at 1. We'd have to rush ourselves through lunch because of the fact, which I was hoping not to do. At least I took the liberty of looking at their menu prior to my visit. Plus, we were still among the first customers inside when they finally opened. I got the Truffle Burger and the friend got the Manly Burger. We also shared an order of cheesy tots and took some truffle fries to go for the movie. Oh we fancy, huh?! The TB was down right scrumptious. Simple as hell, but we're talking about truffle here. It didn't need anything else. I was hoping the portion size would have been slightly bigger. As for the tots, those were also delish. But were we supposed to get other condiments served with it besides their Umami ketchup? *checks out another person's review* Hmmph. I guess I'll have to come around again for a second opinion, and most definitely another Truffle Burger.
