Ever heard of W. Edward Denning? He was a statistician and electrical engineer who is credited with helping to rebuild Japan's manufacturing industry after WWII. It turns out that he is also the founder of a system of thought known as the "System of Profound Knowledge" and even has an institute and an award named after him. Today's thought is from W. Edward Denning, who said... "Profit in business comes from repeat customers, customers that boast about your project or service, and that bring friends with them." It would seem Mr. Denning also had a pretty good understanding of customer service, wouldn't you say?

Lao Tzu was a Chinese philosopher and poet. He is reputed as the founder of Taoism, which emphasizes living in harmony with the force or source of everything that exists. Sounds a lot like being a Jedi. What we can learn from Lao Tzu is that... "When you are content to be simply yourself and don't compare or compete, everybody will respect you."

In other words, focus on what you do best and don't worry or fret too much about your competitors. When you take the time and energy to do what you do best, your customers and everyone else will respect you for it.
