Status quo wins for now. Sadly, the Countywide Elected Mayor proposal - where come Nov. 2018, Broward County citizens would have had the right to vote “for” or “against” it - was rejected by the charter commission majority today. I voted in favor of it because I believe the people have the right to decide what their form of Broward County Gov’t should be. It was disappointing, but I will keep fighting for citizens and “common sense” solutions ... always.

The Reyes Law Group is proud to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Founding father James Madison said, when considering leadership, “Character is all.” On this special holiday, we take note of Dr. King’s dream and similar reminder. May we rise to the challenge and may America and it’s people be blessed by it!
