This was my cover GIF this morning when I went to Google.com.  Turns out because they know it's my birthday, they are serving up this custom gif to my Chrome browser.

Feels a little creepy, it's not like Google actually cares about my birthday.  When I clicked on the gif it took me here to Google Plus.  In other words they're just using this to promote Google+.

So let me get this straight -- Yahoo wants to sell their Asian assets for about $14 / share. The company's current stock price is about $16. So that means everything else that makes up Yahoo -- Mail, Sports, News, all it's European assets, etc. -- is worth just $2 / share? Talk about how the mighty have fallen.

Wow what an incredibly tragic picture this timeline paints. Near-perfect combination of mechanical, computer, and human error.

Once again Britain stands as the lone outpost of sanity against a continent gone mad. At least this time the weapons involved are fiscal, not military.

There is a small, ever so small, chance that The Muppets could unseat Breaking Dawn as the top movie this weekend. If you haven't seen The Muppets yet, I encourage you to do so this weekend. Not only will you see an entertaining movie, you could help prevent Breaking Dawn from being the #1 movie in America for a third weekend.

I thought this was a nice follow-up story, for all of you who have or plan to volunteer on a Habitat for Humanity project. I volunteered through my employer last year, we worked on a couple of the homes in this same project. Back-breaking and yet rewarding at the same time.

Call me Scrooge if you like, but I think it's just a wee bit too early for the Christmas carols on the radio. Can we please just get thru Thanksgiving first before the Christmas music onslaught begins?

Wow, the new Adam Sandler movie is currently scoring a big fat zero on RottenTomatoes. That's actually sorta impressive -- it takes a lot of work to make a movie so bad nobody likes it. Especially a movie that co-stars Al Pacino.
