Here at RAL Academy we get a lot of questions about Live-In Caregivers. One question “How about the caregiver, are they live-in or do they do shifts?” The answer is: it depends. Usually, when you are just getting started, you're probably going to have a caregiver who is going to be live-in. He or she is going to take care of the residents during the day and at night; they are sleeping while the residents are sleeping. That person is on a 24-hour shift. He or she is probably going to work five days out of the week. You'll have somebody else that will replace them two days during that week. Learn More at http://bit.ly/2f8NCLr

After all research is done, you have finally found a prospect Assisted Living Home. It is in the right location. What's the next step?" You need to have the answer to the question: What will they be willing or able to pay? Who's "they"? Who is going to pay? The residents or their family? Keep in mind, the resident is not the one who's paying the bill. It's typically the residents’ family who is paying the bill. If there's four brothers and sisters, they are the ones paying the bill.
