I have a theory that a lot of the problems in our society right now exist because we don’t always see each other as fellow human beings. Corporations outright discourage humanizing one another, because it’s harder to make money (and from another point of view, big hard decisions) if you look at everyone as a human being, as worthy of love and care as the people you love and most care for.

big deep breath

So I want to get some sort of large project together to help people reclaim their own humanity, and encourage us all to see the humanity in each other.
I need brainstormers and schemers and artists of all types, local and far away.

I think this is a worthy cause. What kind of help are you seeking?
Melissa, right now, I'm seeking some brainstorms for the most part. I want to get a core mission statement of this concept together, and I want to know what people from all different backgrounds think about this idea.

Basic questions so far:

Why do we, as people, often treat others as though they are not equal human beings?

In what ways have you done this? In what ways has this been done to you?

What would help to encourage all of us to treat each other as human beings rather than as "us" and "others"?

This final question is intended to help as many people that would like to develop art and activism that can follow the core mission of helping us see each other.

I'm also trying to figure out the best way to get all this information into a more dialogue-driven environment. Local is easy, far away requires some sort of online base.
