I must confess. Until we actually arrived in San Francisco to see the Golden Gate Bridge in person, I had no idea that it was flanked by the Golden Gate Park! Located in the center of it, was a statue of a man that I was not familiar with. His name was Joseph Strauss and …

Flying for the first time can be intimating, but it doesn't have to be!

Since the tragedy of 9/11, there have been numerous safeguards put into place by the US government. Some would argue, many of them are unnecessary and only serve to create longer lines than greater security. Whatever your position on the matter, suffice it to say that these rules are here to stay and will only …

This is only a wish, a dream, a hope of mine. Will it ever come true? Who knows, but it's a lovely thought.
I spied the heights of Mount Kilimanjaro, at dusk, through the bluish-grey clouds that gave them shelter from prying eyes like mine. | A View To A Thrill

Ever wanted to start from the beginning?  I'm feeling that way about my garden and I think it's time for a change.  http://aviewtoathrill.net/2015/04/28/my-english-cottage-garden-redux/
Have you ever had a vision of creating something fantastic and the final outcome only registered a “blah”?  That’s precisely what happened when I bought my house in 2001.  I had just sold my townhouse because I had a dream of living in at least my version of an English Cottage Garden oasis and 300 …

For as long as I can remember, I have always been a fan of the macabre.  Horror movies have always been my favorite genre.  I love the idea of being frightened out of my wits and I suspect I’m not alone in that feeling.  I’m not saying that I haven’t looke

It’s the unexpected, magical things in life that keeps you excited about it. There’s always something special that you can find in your own backyard that makes you realize how lucky you are to be in such close proximity to it. Lake Ramona is such a place. I was surprised how close it was …

I first fell in love with Prince Edward Island through the narrow view of a photo lens.  Its’ vast beauty shined through whether it was the picturesque countryside or pensive seaside.   I was enamored with its quaint architecture, beautiful seashore and knew that one day I would have to bear witness to it to make …

Here's the second part of the Big Zombie tour for all of you Walking Dead fans!  BTW, did you know that a companion series is being cast right now and will air next year?  Cliff Curtis will star:

Last week, I shared my experience with the first part of the Big Zombie Tour in Atlanta.  Today, I want to discuss the second part that covered location shots in the small towns of Senoia, Grantville, Newnan and Haralson, Georgia.  Senoia is roughly 50 mil

I think our experience with Alpine Rentals was exceptional. We couldn't have asked for a more responsive, caring team to work with. They were kind, respectful and very attentive and eager to make sure that you were confident in entrusting them with your reservation. However, our cabin experience left a little to be desired. The rooms didn't have 4 towels as promised, only 3. There were a couple of spiders in the cabin. No real issue for me, but could have been for some. As far as housekeeping was concerned, everything was fairly clean and as advertised. The parking was horrendous. There was absolutely not enough room for all of our cars. Please mention that in your description....then people can plan ahead and be prepared. You can safely park 4 cars max there. The beds were adequate for some and uncomfortable for others. It may be time to upgrade mattresses in The Gangs' all here soon. I think it may be worth the price of an extra cable box so that all of the rooms will have television programming. Other than those issues, the cabin was quite lovely, has a wrap around porch, a huge tv room, lots of seating throughout and several sofa beds in addition to the eight bedrooms. I would not book the same cabin again, but I would definitely give Alpine Rentals another chance.

This is the park and ride lot for commuters leaving Hiram going to downtown Atlanta for work and or play. It's well lit, safe and I have never had any issue or concern about leaving my car parked there. I hate driving, so it's nice to know that Cobb Community Transit provides morning and evening service for Paulding County commuters like me.

While you may experience a wait when you arrive, you will understand why as soon as you are served. The food is always delicious, fresh, tender and mouth watering. The prices are reasonable and you definitely feel as if you are getting your money's worth. The ambiance is quaint, the servers are friendly and attentive. What more could you want? I really enjoy relaxing, catching up with old friends and enjoying a superb meal every time I visit.

The room was quiet, located in the back of the property. Exceptional beds, modern decor, extremely CLEAN rooms. The breakfast was generous and delicious and the personnel are the true stars at this hotel. They were very friendly, caring and helpful.

Minh has to be one of the kindest, most patient people that I know. She has never met a stranger and goes out of her way to provide the most beautiful arrangements that you will ever see. There aren't many brick and mortar florists these days and to locate one in our neck of the woods is literally the equivalent of finding a unicorn. Minh Bennett is a unicorn. She will help you to celebrate milestones or to bereave the loss of a loved one in such an honorable way. She takes all of your considerations to heart and fulfills every desire. Her prices are reasonable, her delivery times are exceptional and best of all, she LOVES her work. If you need the services of a dependable, hard working florist, you need look no further.

Big Lots is one of those stores that become a habit because they have pretty much everything that a household needs. Every once in a while, you will find an absolute steal but you can't contemplate on the purchase for too long. Once it is gone, it's pretty much gone. They purchase products in lots or mass quantities, but once they've sold out, you're out of luck. You've been warned. I usually stock up on paper goods, pet foods/supplies, cleaning supplies and they have a wide variety of foodstuffs (yeah, I said it) to indulge in. They even sell furniture, mattresses and everything in between. If you're on a budget, this is the place for you. Enjoy!
