Another ( out there ) way of looking at it is from a medium term perspective: We are progressing at a good pace towards a technological singularity. When we get there, I'm willing to bet Apple's contributions will just work, and they won't need to be revolutionary.
So, I bought, built it, and then began the longer process of tracking down the other available minifigures. (Needless to say, my godkids made out light bandits getting a ton of extra sets, minus a few figures.)
Now, finally, it's about 99% done and it's in place across from the Steve Jobs action figure and plush doll, bookmarking the original iPad and iPad mini, all the generations of iPhone, the camera equipment, and the Nexus/Lumia/Blackberry shelf.
