A few months before his death in on this day in 2003, Fred Rogers recorded a video message for those who grew up watching "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood."

Help! Having terrible juniper allergies! Any #HomeRemedy ideas? Anything at all?! I already take daily #allergy medication and daily local honey. I'm dying with itchy eyes and sneezing

Found out tonight that the anthology I was confirmed in is still a GO. Got worried for a bit. They took it down from their site.

Does a little dance

It's like getting published all over again.

Shit overheard: "Just so we don't start a civil war, lets just agree that it's a trout."

Yupper. Welcome to my life, people. #facepalm

Typically I'm tagged as writing slow, drab stories where my main characters have stuff done TO them rather than ACT.

Writing YA is teaching me I'm FULLY capable of writing active, action sequences where the main character ACTS.

My own heart is pumping. That's a good sign right!? #amwriting

Introduction
Fiction should lull you into a false sense of security before punching you in the throat. That's the sort of story I write. Fiction that makes you question your everything.

I have three nonfiction academic journal publications (Political Science, Political Theory, and Developmental Disabilities [still pending]).

My short stories have been featured in Black Mirror Magazine and I've won one local short story contest so far for my story Us and Them. Currently sending my novel The Unpeople out in search of agents.

***Be warned, much of what you will read within these digital walls will make you uncomfortable. I'm no shock jock writer, but I write about life...which is brutal enough.

best pizza ever. I grew up in CT, spent time in NY, Chicago, Milwaukee, Denver and live for pizza. If you're disappointed in the pizza, you don't have taste buds

Anyone who LOVES chocolate will NOT be disappointed. And if you think you've had good chocolates, think again! Their truffles are what most will like. The flavors are so intense, but strangely not too intense. Just when you think the flavor is too much, the chocolate shines through to smooth out the intensity. And the flavors are not sugar induced like most other places. I have NEVER had better chocolate truffles. Would love to see them do a Cognac filled candy. Their signature 90% dark chocolate bar is smooth and strong without being bitter and burnt flavored. Their Gelato is second to none with flavor so mouth punching it will split your lip. The reason? I asked...apparently they don't use mixes or flavor syrups. Everything is natural and made in-house. It shows. Last but not least, the service. I went in explaining I was new to the area. The co-owner explained the history. When I came back with my better half, he put up with our indecision, labeled our hand-picked box of chocolate truffles, and gave us an anniversary gift on the house. I've had good service in my many travels, Chocolate Cartel is among the top performers on all fronts.

Owner is a ball! A traditional ice cream shop with non traditional ice cream toppings (Boston baked beans candy, trix, fruiti pebbles, to name a few). And prices are very reasonable. You will not be disappointed

I've had my share of great burgers around the country. Few compare to the Cube. Portions are perfect, ratio of burger to bun to toppings are spot on, and the fries and chips are made on site. They have good beer, excellent variety of iced teas. Not to mention ALWAYS great service ...which is tough to come by

Heard great things. Found out its popular because its popular. Food is OK but expensive. Beer isn't terrible. but I'd rather go to Two Fool's across the street.

I lived in Milwaukee and Colorado and consider myself a serious beer nut. La Cumbre is the 1st brewery that gets every beer they brew spot on. The pub is inviting, there's a great street vendor outside all the time, and absolutely amazing beer. Their Elevated IPA is my favorite IPA. But I literally have never been more impressed with a brewery and I've visited at least 50 breweries and brew pubs between Connecticut and New Mexico
