Employment
  • ARFCO MEDIA
    Grand Poo-bah, 2009 - present
I've been involved in the arts in one way or another all my life. I grew up in a musicians household and ever since I can remember I've played an instrument, composed music and wrote and told stories. I also love the visual mediums, especially photography. ARFCO Media is my umbrella for all of this activity and I produce and publish my art from the past and present as I can...
  • First American Title Company
New Media Marketing & Education, 2010 - present
I'm the evangelist for the emerging social web and its impact on business, life, and the future. I'm an instructor for the First American Title Real Estate School of Washington where I develop and teach new media & social web clock hour classes and workshops. I also work with the sales & marketing team developing on and off line strategies for business opportunities.
  • Ticor Title Company
    VP Regional IT Marketing, 2003 - 2009
Washington Title was owned by Chicago Title. When Fidelity Title purchased Chicago Title, we became Ticor Title. It was my job to continue the work I started at Washington Title and bring it to the region. I supported Washington, Oregon, and Northern California.
  • Washington Title Company
    Special Projects, 1996 - 2003
Washington Title began as a small boutique title & escrow company with a forward looking vision. I was kind of a jack of all trades and had a blast working with Rob Porter (president & area manager) creating numerous customer service products, real estate market analysis tools and reports, and developing marketing strategies that implemented new and emerging technologies.
  • Cornish College of the Arts
    Electronic Music, 1981 - 1983
I taught electronic music, composers workshops, and collaborated with the New Performance Workshop.
  • And/Or Seattle
    Soundwork Studio, 1981 - 1983
Soundwork Studio was a public access recording studio and performance program for New Music and Electronic Music creation and performance. We produced several concerts every season to showcase local and nationally known composers and performers. We also facilitated an ongoing education program for composers about emerging new music ideas and concepts and how to use the studio's technology and recording equipment to create and produce music.
  • KRAB FM Radio
    Soundwork New Music Host, 1981 - 1983
Host of Soundwork, a weekly radio show that featured local and national new music and electronic music composers.
  • Green River Community College
    Music Department, 1972 - 1975
I taught Music Theory, Twentieth Century Music and directed the Symphonic Wind Ensemble. As composer in residence I wrote and performed several works for the wind ensemble, small experimental groups and the jazz ensemble (which later became the Green River Music Company). I was also the music director for several musical theater productions including Fiddler on the Roof, Gypsy, and Superman.

The Ship Canal Bridge opened to traffic in December of 1962 just after the Seattle World’s Fair. Headed over it south into the city you’ll see some spectacular views over Lake Union, North Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, the Aurora Bridge and the Olympic Mountains, the Space Needle, and the Seattle Skyline.

An experimental draft titled, The Miracle Persists... One day sitting in a parking lot in the rain in downtown Renton I had a little daydream meditation that lead my thoughts to the miracle and magic of simple everyday life.

I did the music by multi-tracking a Peruvian Pan Flute in a feedback loop with these simple images and tried to capture the mood and state of wonder I was in at the moment.
