No Apple Watch in Apple Stores?

When Apple Watch launches later this year, it will be absent a notable feature of most Apple product launches: lines around the block waiting for their chance to try and buy one.

You won't be able to buy Apple Watch at Apple Stores. You may be able to reserve a chance to try one out, but you'll still have to purchase online. You will only be able to purchase online.

Wearables present a unique dilemma: they're fashion items. They don't live most of their lives in a pocket or in your palm. Fashion is much more personalized.

Apple clearly does not yet feel their retail stores can offer the fashion purchasing experience necessary for optimal customer satisfaction.

This puts a damper on the idea of Apple Watch as a Wearables 'Game Changer'. Assuming Apple Watches are also absent from carrier stores and other types of retail stores, two primary channels for Apple sales will absent at launch.
Well, we knew the Apple Watch was going to be sold in limited quantities on launch day—we just didn't know how limited, nor how long the limited supply might last. Apple has finally chimed in to give some additional details about the Apple Watch's big April 24 release date, and you might not be too thrilled if you're used to just waltzing in to your local Apple Store and doing whatever you want. First up, take that dream scenario and toss it as...

Went there for lunch today and it was closed. Are they still operating? No sign on the door indicating anything. The dark place inside had chalkboards with listings, and everything looked clean. Just dark and empty. :-( Was looking forward to seeing if they had a good club sandwich!

Open 24 hours, you will often find the place packed at 3am. Good solid steak. But the mushrooms are canned so give them a pass.

Service was ok/good. Waiter forgot to bring the cheque when we asked for it, so we reminded her. Luisa ordered the carrot soup, which turned out to be orange-coloured potato soup. She sent it back. Kudos to the restaurant for removing the soup from the bill. Luisa's tea mug was dirty, so she sent that back. Then her apple pastry dessert showed up, but it had the onerous addition of a caramel sauce dribbled all over it, which was not in the description nor depicted by the picture of the dessert. She hates Caramel. However, she was able to scrape most of it off, and managed to eat most of it. I was disappointed that the lunch menu did not include steak. It did include a steak sandwich, but I'm eating low carb meals. So I simply had a ¼ chicken dinner, which was ok (hard to go wrong really) but didn't use any of the sticky-sweet sauce that came with it. The caesar salad I got with it was very small, but passible, although I had to be sure to order it without bacon bits or croutons.
