If you know that #probiotics  are good for you, then you'll want to know about #prebiotics  too.  Here, a primer on what they are and why they're important.

#gfree   #glutenfree   #guthealth   #microbiome   #microbiota   #goodbacteria  +Gluten-Free & More Magazine
Probiotics are the good bacteria we ingest to keep our microbiome--the vast pool of live microorganisms in our gut--in balance and our digestive system healthy. Research connects a healthy digestive system to overall wellness, particularly a strong immune system. While probiotics is now a household word linked to better digestion, the term prebiotics isn t as well known--but it s just as important to our overall health.

Although the accommodations were nice, the service and amenities weren't up to the standard you'd expect at a JW Marriott. Specifically -- when we reserved our room we indicated 4 guests, but on arrival were assigned a room with 1 king bed. The first staffer we spoke with was very unaccommodating. After speaking with a different staffer, we were able to change to a room with a king bed + sofa pull out. Unfortunately we found that room had no linens and it took 3 calls to the front desk to have them delivered. Lastly, the air in our room didn't work well and it stayed warm throughout our visit. I did, however, find the valet staff and the Nox grille staff to be very attentive. The breakfast buffet at Nox was delicious. This hotel has the makings of a wonderful luxury hotel, but needs a bit more attention to some of these finer details.

Great food. Good local feel. Awesome beer list and hand crafted cocktails. Salads are creative, fresh and filling. Definitely try the chicken and biscuits. Excellent.

Seasons 52 always has a tasty menu and this location was no exception. Unfortunately there wasn't an attention to excellent service I would've hopes for. It took a while to be seated, even though there were not other guests waiting at 2pm. Our food took a while and our server seemed to forget about us once we reached the end of our meal.

Looking for a warm welcome and quaint slice of Vermont? Wilder Farm is the place to find both. Bonus: the breakfast is exceptional! I enjoyed fresh berries, yogurt, homemade granola and bread during my stay... But the best was the homemade crepe filled with eggs, kale, tomatoes and cheddar cheese. The inn has the historic creeks of a well traveled New England Inn, but is well cared for and nicely decorated. I was surprised to enjoy a very spacious bathroom, reminiscent of more modern lodgings. The wifi was slow during my visit, but I've heard from others that they experienced no problems. Highly recommend if you're staying in the Waitsfield area.

Don't be fooled by the dark, unassuming interior when you walk in. The food is worlds away from greasy bar fare. Very tasty, great service and excellent alcohol selection. Highly recommend. I had the black bean cakes and they were beyond delish.
