Here are construction post pictures of our all brick Pompeii traditional Italian brick pizza oven. The inside cupola is made of a series brick showing old world craftsmanship.  Notice how thin the joints are which is required for true refractory craftsmanship.  This pizza oven will be around for generations.  We used the Fornobravo plans as our general plans following basic pizza oven guidelines.  All of the products used are products we carry or can order.  Some of the bricks are special order only.  To achieve a double taper,   9" Series Arch brick (#1, #2, and #3) were used for one tamper and the 2nd "key" tamper were cut to fit to allow very thin mortar joints.  View our online refractory catalog at www.refwest.com for more information.
