I have now been going to New Life Chiropractic, and seeing Dr. Tim Smith, for about a month. My two daughters (11 and 15), and my son (4) are also getting care. Both of my parents are also now going. Dr. Tim is the 5th chiropractor that I have seen in the last 9 years and I am very impressed. What sets his office apart? 1) Office staff that is wonderful. Tonie answers the phone with a smile and always greets you warmly. Scheduling appointments is a breeze. 2) Customized care. Each of us is getting adjustments that are unique to our needs and they change EVERY TIME depending on how our body is responding. I have never been to a chiropractor where every adjustment is slightly different. 3) Promotes self-care. Home care exercise is a big part of the New Life care regimen. I like that Dr. Tim truly wants to speed up your healing and get you on a regular maintenance plan. 4) Truly integrated approach to medicine. Dr. Tim is obviously a big believer in chiropractic, but he also teaches about the importance of your mind, nutrition, exercise and detoxification. 5) New Life Chiropractic hosts multiple community outreach educational events every month. Community dinners, recipe nights, and special events like 'Cancer Killers' give people that aren't even patients the opportunity to utilize Dr. Tim's knowledge and apply it to their lives to become healthier. I started seeing Dr. Tim because I was experiencing low back pain, TMJ and numbness in my fingers. The TMJ and finger numbness went away after the first adjustment. I've had significant increase in range of motion of my neck and back and reduced pain.

This is the 3rd time I have had a patio cover built and never have I been so impressed! When I started looking for a company to build my patio cover, I called and asked several to come give me bids. Don called me back the same day, scheduled a meeting for a couple of days later, arrived promptly and provided a bid on the spot. His bid included options (ceiling fans, drop shades, metal quality). He thoroughly explained the options and their warranty. We chose the higher quality product that he sells since we plan on staying in our property a long time. The extra cost is well worth the added value and warranty. Our cover is beautiful and includes a large fully covered portion along with a lattice edge and 2 ceiling fans. Chris and Sergei were always on time, very nice and professional, cleaned up at the end of each night and completed the job very quickly (2.5 days). Don called to make sure everything was going well the first day and followed up after the job was completed by coming out in person to collect the final payment after making sure I didn't have any questions and was happy. He even followed up with a Thank You card a few days later which is so rare these days. We love our patio cover and expect many years of worry free enjoyment. We highly recommend Don's Awnings

Dr. Chen has been my dentist since around the time they opened their office. My husband and oldest daughter also go there and I always refer my friends and family if they are looking for a dentist. They have a wonderful staff, clean and comfortable office with massage chairs and movies, and are respectful of your time. I have never had to wait to get in for my appointment or to see the doctor more than a couple of minutes. They are proactive at offering preventive care without pushing you into services you don't need.

My husband and I enjoyed our first dinner at Eight American Bistro last night. We found out about it through an Amazon Local deal. It is tucked away in Granite Bay off Auburn Folsom in what looks like a cute house conversion. We sat in a large comfortable booth. There was jazz music playing in the background which my husband loved! Our coupon was for a prix fixe dinner and included a bottle of wine, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and dessert. We were given a choice between red or white and chose the red. We were served a very nice Sierra Foothills Cab blend. We chose the fries and risotto balls for the appetizer. Both were served with nice dipping sauces and were very tasty. For our entrees I chose the veggie pasta and my husband had the burger. Our plates were cleaned ...enough said! Somehow I still stuffed down the Strawberry crisp we ordered. It was all so yummy. The service was exceptional too. We were given recommendations, checked on several times and greeted warmly. I look forward to going back. Eight is an upper end restaurant so for most will be more of a special occasion place. Dinner without the coupon would have been around $125. But note that they served us a nice bottle of wine ($45 menu price).

Great hidden gem. Never would have expected food of this caliber in the tucked away town of Minden. We enjoyed a tasty spinach salad with berry balsamic, bacon and blue cheese for a starter and shared gnocchi with Gorgonzola and walnut creme and venison raviolis with blackberries. We finished off with creamy tiramisu. Everything was delicious. Better yet we had impeccable and friendly service and were treated to a beautiful aria before our dessert. Great experience!

We recently had ants coming into our home. Initially I was not happy because this happened on a Saturday (and Alterra is closed on the weekend) and even though they called me back on Monday, the soonest they could come out was Thursday. I expected a faster turnaround for customers experiencing pest problems in their home. So in terms of the turnaround I would only give them 2 stars. They did send out a very good service pro, Mann. He did a great job and I hope he becomes our regular provider! He assured me that he would be happy to come out as often as needed to make sure our bug problems stayed controlled and that he would make sure all the webs around our home would be removed. In short, he convinced me to give Alterra another chance!

I sought chiropractic care for the first time in my life following a car accident that occurred in January 2006. I was suffering from upper back pain and severe headaches. I was initially referred to a different local chiropractor by a friend and felt their treatment protocol was too aggressive (frequency of visits and type of treatment) and left me feeling in more pain. I made the switch to Dr. Dozier and was so grateful to find him. I started feeling better after my very first appointment with Dr. Dozier. He took the time to explain things I should be doing at home to rehabilitate myself and rather than setting out a treatment protocol of a dozen or more visits in 2 day intervals, he suggested we start with bi-weekly appointments and change the schedule as needed based on my progress. After just a few weeks I reduced the frequency of my visits and continued to do so. It is now 7 years later and I continue to see Dr. Dozier whenever I start feeling pain in my back or neck - probably 4-6 times per year. I recommend Dr. Dozier to anyone looking for a chiropractor. He is kind, gentle, expresses genuine concern for your condition and progress and is always professional and on-time. You will walk out of the office feeling better due to his gentle and very effective techniques.
