aww!!!
These two children from Denver got one huge surprise from the Easter bunny this year. “This is going to be what you always wanted,” their father, Jacob Ouellette, told his sweet children, Ethan, 3, and Faithlyn, 6, in a YouTube video announcing his wife’s pregnancy....

Twelve years ago this heavy chain
Became the world I knew
Rapidly the dust replaced
The space where grass once grew
At first I cried from loneliness
I haven’t cried in years
I gave that up to hopelessness
They never see my tears.

When winter comes I dream of spring
As I shiver through the night
My water freezes into ice
While my world turns into white
When summer comes I long for fall
The sun is unforgiving
As my water quickly disappears
So does my thirst for living.

This circle of dirt beneath my feet
Has seen a million paces
As I have watched pass by me
At least a thousand faces
All of them too busy
To stop and be a friend
I’d pull and tug and wag my tail
The chain would always end.

Twelve years ago this rusty chain
Became the world I know
A world of isolation
A world where grass won’t grow
A world of bitter coldness
A world of searing heat
A world where no one comforts you
When your heart beats it’s last beat.

This really is the best I've heard. Such a quieting and disturbing might.

Bragging rights
Once beat a cheetah racing up Mt. Kilimanjaro, won a death roll match against a gator in Florida, flew higher than the Discovery, navigated the Nile with my eyes closed.. oh and went back in time and scared a cave bear from the back of a mammoth...

I love this place!!!!! Moved to the area a few years ago and had been searching high and low for 'our' chinese take out spot. This is it! Finally after so many failed attempts!!!!! The eggrolls are the right size and not tiny and greasy, the Gen. Tso's chicken has broccoli and chili's in it like it's supposed to and not CARROTS (hint hint to all those other restaurants out there), the noodles are good, the rice is good, everything so far (we've been about 7 times now) is good! The interior is nice, clean, and well maintained. Even the fish tanks and plants are healthy and clean! :) You can tell the people that run this place have pride in their establishment and what they do. I love the attention to detail with the little hand stapled baggies of napkins, sauces, and plastic ware and the prices are good to. I can't tell you how happy it made me to find this place. I was beginning to think Plano didn't know what Chinese Take-Out was supposed to be like.

This isn't really what you think of as a botanical garden. It is part of F.I.T, Florida Institute of Technology, and if I'm not mistaken is an outdoor classroom. It consists of a few sidewalks with areas to sit, which meander through a collection of various tropical plants and trees. There are, however, quite a few interesting plants scattered throughout the entire FIT campus, including a Monkey Puzzle tree. It is free and only open during school hours I believe. There is more information about it on the school's website.
