I'm skeptical that this would ever work, but I'd love to see them try.

You really should have watched her video. If you had then you would have seen that she was criticizing the study and never once did she "hate men". Seriously WTF are you blabbering about?!

Take is easy, previous poster.

So, your analysis on Stan Lee's credibility as a creator is kind of sloppy and I think intentionally dismissive just because he "merely" co-created characters.  He created dozens of characters with the help of illustrators.  Comics are visual and he's not an artist.  He's a writer.  He created the concept of most of the existing characters in Marvel comics and asked artists to design the look of them.

He was a huge proponent of the civil rights movement in the 60's which is why he created the X-Men.  He knew he had something to say on the topic of discrimination. He wanted to sue the medium of comics for that movement but you know, if you make a comic book about a bunch of black people in the US in the early 60's, you're going to go out of business before you can get the message across.  The whole mutant discrimination (which is at least half of the drama in X-Men comics; only sharing conflict with actual supervillians) bit is an allegory for what was going on in the civil rights movement, and it's still relevant today.  To frame the story as if Stan Lee is a mild racist because he wants characters to stay white is at best stupid and at worst intentionally dishonest.

Regarding Miles Morales, I've kind of grown out of comics in the last ten years so I'm not familiar with much about Mile Morales, other than that he's half Latino and he's Spider-Man (in a different dimension than Peter Parker).   But because I don't read comics any more, I have no connection with this different Spider-Man and therefore no desire to watch any of his movies.  That' just me; I've got a tattoo of Spider-Man on my arm and I'd love to keep my status quo.  But if I can't have it like that I'll just move on.

One point that I'll agree on is that from the little I've read about Miles Morales, Donald Glover would be a fine choice.  I'm not sure if his personality is the same as Peter Parkers' though; the humour chops that Donald Glover has would be perfect as the wise-cracking Peter Parker Spider-Man.  I just don't know if Miles Morales Spider-Man is also a wise cracker.  Regardless of that, Marvel decided to take the bold step and.... NOT hire a 30 year old to play 16 year old Peter Parker.

Introducing another minority character into the MCU is probably not necessary when you think about it.  I think we've got some fantastic diversity so far and coming soon already.  We've got Rhodey, Falcon, the upcoming Black Panther, Nick Fury and now Scarlett Witch, Black Widow, and pretty soon Captain Marvel and Wasp representing women. White men are actually the minority right now on the current line up of the Avengers (Cap is the only white man left with the departure of Hawkeye, Iron Man, Thor and Hulk)and represent about half of the current characters including the above-mentioned characters and Ant-Man.

+sean m It matters not who or what you're replying to. Your post stands on its own merits.

Again, what was the point of it? What purpose does it serve telling someone to "Go fuck yourself up the ass sideways with a cactus, cum dumpster. Then go choke yourself with a bag of dicks. Shit stained waste of sperm. You were born when a crack head dumped his load in your moms ass then the flies did the rest."

Are you battling to see who can come up with the better insult?

+Adam Sowa Technically no, Gish, for whom that term was coined, was allowed as a speaker a larger time frame than his opponent in that debate.

Here on the internet, we are not held to fucking time limits?  Are we?  No.

Just because he is overwhelmed by various small arguments, doesn't mean that they aren't valid.  Nor does it make it a Gish Gallop.

Obviously, anyone that has actually lost any debate ever, has been flooded with a torrent of arguments for which they have no (or a poorly constructed) response.

What your doing, is called "Thought Terminating Cliche'".

And technically, that is exactly what you both attempted to do.  And failed.

slow clap

Now show me some evidence which actually shows a single one of these murders was committed in the name of right wing politics?  No Ok.  Than you concede to my point.

Show me proof that the origin of religion is symmetrical to the origin of the right wing?  No.  Ok.  Well than you concede that point too.

Show me proof that the origin of racism was cohesively linked with right wing beliefs at the birth of either?  No.  Ok.  Than you concede my point.

Fact of the matter is, your both saying very little about the points being made.  And jabbering on like poorly educated fools, which is exactly what I expect you both are.
