Awesome! #craftbeer in #Ontario is expanding with homegrown hops!

According to a recent article by Friends of the Greenbelt, hop farmers now supply more than 53 breweries across Ontario, contributing to a rapidly-growing craft beer industry. #hops   #ontario   #ontag   #craftbeer    #microbrew   #feastON
All across the province, brewers are looking for flavour closer to home. The good news is : Ontario grows great hops.

Made this lasagna with  +Andrew Mackenzie tonight. We added sautéed mushrooms, substituted olive oil for Coconut oil and added few extra cloves of garlic to the pesto. Super yummy. Best part? Cooking with the man I love!
With spring approaching, here’s a pasta offering with broccoli rabe that is emblematic of the season.

Gorgeous winery located in Norfolk County. Their "Kiln Hanger" is my personal favourite from their selection of wines. Great patio!

Chef Eric Boyer and his mother Pauline are gracious hosts. The chefs table (overlooking the kitchen) offers an intimate yet action packed experience. Their commitment to fresh, seasonal makes each visit a memorable one.

Authentic Indian cuisine. Don't go for the decor (tired would be putting it nicely) - go for the food. Service is always pleasant. We enjoy the covered patio in the summer.

Lovely spot for lunch or afternoon tea. The food is focused on ingredients that are grown on the farm and procured from other producers in the region. Their pie is crazy delicious. They also sell preserves, maple syrup, black walnut syrup and birch syrup all produced on the property.

Brilliant burgers that celebrate a great supplier - Enright Cattle Co. Love the choice of toppings. Their slaw rocks too! Dig the selection of Ontario Craft Beers on tap. Kingston gem for sure!

The menu here for brunch truly rocks. The huevos rancheros are my go to dish. Line-ups on the weekends for breakfast and brunch are silly so I save this place for a weekdays when my schedule permits. Service is a bit slow and they only take cash - grrrr.
