It is always important to keep your dog safe and happy when you are teaching them.  This is critical in keeping their focus and willingness to trust and learn.  When you are working on leash exercises, some togs have the tenancy to pull and lunge. This if fine for many dogs, but can actually hurt others.  This is when you need to decide if you are going to use a dog collar or harness in the teaching process.  We have a great article to help explain the benefits of both.  Please check out our dog training article today.

It always happens.  The family decides to get a dog and everyone agrees that they will help and train him.  They all say they will help teach him right and wrong and be a leader.  Then, after you get your new doggie, a family member decides that all he wants to do is be the doggie's playmate and doesn't want to take part in the training.

This can be a disaster in the training process because it can send mixed and confusing signals to your dog.  You have to understand how to properly stage these different human-canine interactions so that your dog understands who is the leader and who is the playmate.  Please check out our article to understand what to do.
