Something that needs to be understood about perfect games in baseball; while they are thrown by one man, it really takes the whole team supporting it to make the event happen.

Never in history has there been a perfect game with 24 or 27 strikeouts. That means the ball went into play, but was handled by the fielding team.

Every pitcher who throws one of these gems needs to be buying his team a steak dinner, or something special.

Steak? From that link you posted earlier, he apparently needs to buy Gregor Blanco a car. But yes, one can't do something like this without the support/backup of the rest of the team.
