Confirmed Earth-sized planet around habitable zone!
The Kepler Space Telescope team has announced that the Kepler-186 system has an Earth-sized planet orbiting in the star's habitable zone, named Kepler-186f
Though previous planets have been discovered in habitable zones, they've been about 40% larger than Earth, however Kepler-186f is far closer in size to the planet that provides a habitat for life to exist, our own.

This is probably the best "Rosetta Stone" ad ever. Michael Dorn *NAILS it as a product pitchman.
Disclaimer: Yes, this was an April fool's prank. is notorious for fake product ads on April fool's, although some April Fool's products HAVE been produced. My favorite is the Taun Taun sleeping bag.

Warning: Song/Video is a hard pg-13.
For eight months now I've owned a #macbookproretina and have been running Fedora 19 on it.
Today I decided to spend a day working in #OSX , having maybe logged two hours in OSX over the past 8 months. I have to say, coming from the world of #linux , the Apple Kool-Aid tastes pretty good.
Will I make a permanent switch and use OSX full-time? I'm not sure yet, but there's not much to stop me from doing so.

from posted a great article that walks us through physics 101 to determine the mass of Cap's shield.
If you are a comic book fan, and don't mind some equations and charts, give the article a read. You'll find it pretty interesting.
