I don't think I've told a mother-in-law joke in my life. They never seemed to fit. My mother-in-law died on Sunday. Winifred Hibbert was the sweetest and most godly of women; the wife of her wonderful and also godly husband Ken (who died 2 years ago), and the mother of my precious bride.

When Sue and I heard that she had passed into eternity we rejoiced. There were of course tears of sorrow for the momentary parting, but we know that we will see her again, and that brought comfort to our Comfort family.

Words fail me in my want to express the consolation of KNOWING that we will see her again. The greatest riches this sad world has don't compare for a second to what we have in Christ: "You will KNOW that you have passed from death to life..." "These thing have I written that you might KNOW that you have everlasting life..."

The instant each of us leave this world is the most momentous moment of our lives. Children begin birthdays by excitedly counting upwards, but as adults it slowly dawns on us that it's actually a count-down to that most traumatic of moments. It is a time to be dreaded for those who refuse God's mercy in Christ, but it is a time of joy unspeakable for those who know the Lord, as did Win and Ken.

Do you know Him "whom to know is life eternal"? Are you dreading death, or have you turned from sin and through trust in Jesus have you received God's gift of eternal everlasting life? If not, then please...oh please check out www.needGod.com

Notation to everyone: I am very concerned what direction Ray personally and Living Waters in general is taking. I have brought my concerns to them already several times and simply been shined on. I have truly appreciated many of the things he does, and I believe his approach in preaching the gospel is perfectly right.
I am very sorry to site that Ray has done a little bit of plagiarism in his book about the origin of the species: http://aigbusted.blogspot.com/2009/11/ray-comfort-plagiarist.html
However, I have been concerned when I've seen some of his volunteers (ie: the Europe tour with "Way of the Master") wearing tattoos without covering them up or using them as a testimony foothold for people.  Also I have been concerned when I saw his excuse or even encouragement which he made FOR tattoos.  (Please view and compare Biblically this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBCjxmoVo0s). Tattoos are long since known in paganism as a mark of slavery to sin.  It is one thing for someone to be saved from sin and still have the marks; but it is quite another to be defensive of them while a believer.  In Revelation it says that all idolaters and everyone else who takes part in the sins of the world without repentance will go to the lake of fire.  No, the Bible does not say "Thou shalt not get a TATTOO", but it does say this in Romans 1, which puts attitudes right into perspective with homosexuality, idolatry, bestiality, and other blasphemies:  "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."  How many humble, godly people who are not living a double life for Christ go out and get tattoos?  Not only must you expose yourself to people who are themselves worshiping the devil, you are wrecking the body which God gave you in the first place when you were born, a body which He called "very good" and which is the temple of the Holy Spirit--and you're putting the marks of paganism on them, no matter what those marks say.  Not only is that putting Me first (idolatry) but that is called inventors of evil things, and often results in skin cancer which is "the recompense of their error which was meet."  We may not be in the Old Covenant anymore, but sin and paganism is stronger than ever.  Ray himself uses the Old Covenant ten commandments to stimulate the conscience.  Therefore it is also appropriate to use what God says in the Old Testament about paganism and sin because, in His holiness, HIs attitude about sin is still the same, and hell is just as hot now as it was back then.  If you're still in doubt read the following:  1 Kings 18:24-29; Deut. 1:1; Lev. 19.28; as well as the NT starting with the demon possessed man: Mark 5; Eph. 2.8-10; 1 Cor. 3.9; 2 Cor 6.14-16; 1Cor. 3.16; 1 Pet 2.5....Also you may read this article: http://www.av1611.org/tattoos/intro.html
Secondly, I am very concerned by his non-statements on the heretic Joyce Meyers.  Joyce is a false teacher with man-cut hair (which symbolizes Jezebel) and a mouth with both good and bad coming out.  Revelation talks about women like her: Rev. 2.20-22.  "Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds." She promotes the prosperity gospel which contradicts what Jesus says: "In this world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world."  She denies repentance: Rom 3.23, Mark 1:14,15; Acts 26.20; Matt. 3.  She promotes "divine" or magic touch/demon power healing, the name-it-and-claim-it gospel which all good witch doctors believe in too.  Although Jesus did and does heal, we do not have the power to "say" and it's so.  That's only for Him because He is God; not us.  (See again Romans 1).
Ray started out, I believe, with the King James Bible. However, he no longer uses it.  The King James Bible is the only English text which does not use the perverted Alexandrian manuscripts (Rev. 22.18)  See also a presentation by a man who has deeply studied this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIOUN6GJlJI Ray's casual attitude on TV does not set well with a serious believer.  Neither does the fact that he's putting up a new TV show of the Comfort Zone not just YOUtube.  He wastes time on what the New Testament calls “inconvenient jesting” (Eph. 5.4). Bigger-and-better syndrome always goes with selfishness...selfishness counteracts the preaching of the gospel of Christ.  Did Christ go to Rome in the Colosseum and preach there?  No, he went out into the countryside and lakes, because it was QUIET and SECLUDED.  Did Christ "hit the news" in the local representative for newspapers?  No, he simply preached and word-of-mouth spread like fire.  Our attitude for preaching the gospel is not to use the World's means.  We are separated to God as a holy body.  Please study all four gospels, Jesus' preaching techniques, His views, His doctrines, His humble attitude, His standing up for righteousness, and His non-committal attitude toward the bigger-and-better.  Also see: 1 Cor. 1.17-31; 3; 6; 13-14; Gal. 4-5; etc.
One thing I must state: any religious organization under 501c(3) is forced to be dictated by the government or pay a fine. The government has a right to say what the organization should preach, get their messages approved, etc.  The new movie "Audacity", so Ray said, had to be brought before a board of policemen before it could ever hit the public.  Why?  Because...you could get a lawsuit or even prison.  Ray said he didn't want to go to prison for the sake of the gospel--er, excuse me, because he had said something too strong.  Hm.  Seems to me that we need to stick with the Biblical way of doing things more than the popular way.  The apostles went to prison, were beaten, were rejected and so was Jesus, and so are we.  We don't go getting approved by Rome simply to get out of persecution!!! "These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth."  Heb. 11.13 http://www.creationliberty.com/articles/501c3.php
Finally, I wish to put in one thought; not as a pot-shot, but simply as a concern.  Ray's organization has grown and the money has gone up over the past years.  He started with no salary, but several people have sited that he now has over $100,000 per year.  Let's see....who is doing the donations?????  This was put out by a nonbeliever but I think he says respectfully a few interesting and insightful points: http://raytractors.blogspot.com/2008/08/piety-of-ray-little-web-sleuthing.html
Unfortunately the links to his financial statements are unavailable and you can’t access them anywhere else either!! I've mentioned to Living Waters about a financial statement because they are a 501c(3), and I understand they have one if you email them...but they don't always send it.  Furthermore, it's supposed to be, legally, accessible to everyone, sent out to ALL concerned every year, making an annual financial statement.

From, “Out of the Comfort Zone” http://tinyurl.com/oyso4rg

My first movie production was back in New Zealand in 1980. I sent my cameraman into the heart of the city to get some candid clips, when a gang fight with axes and knives broke out while he was filming, and he captured it.

The police seized the footage and it was used as Supreme Court evidence. The gangs were put in prison because of the clip, and I was able to go in and preach to them.

We were allowed to use it in the film and had over 2,000 people show up for the premiere.

[If anyone has a video copy of “My Friends are Dying,” we would love to buy it off you. Contact manuel@lvingwaters.com]

Pic. From the movie. One member attacks another with an axe. Fortunately the axe didn’t penetrate his matted hair and went into his shoulder.

2 Timothy 3 New Living Translation (NLT)

The Dangers of the Last Days
3 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

Let every sparrow remind you of the provision of God:

"Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows" (Matthew 10:29-31

Thank you for that reminder brother Ray Comfort. I moved here from Greenville, S.C. and I have no means of transportation and a recent retiree. I have been praying for GOD in JESUS name to help provide me with a car so I can evangelize and work part-time as well to supplement my Social Security Retirement. I am currently staying with my cousin in Hesperia, paying rent and utilcities as well and attending River of Life Church of God not far from where I am currently staying. They are Catholics just like I used to be before I got saved.
I am hoping to move to Orange County or San Diego and evangelize as I am a credentialed Minister in the Church of God from Cleveland, Tennessee. I am currently separated because my husband of 34 years who was a Pastor decided that he is no longer interested in the Ministry and would like to be single again.
Please include me in your prayer. GOD bless you and yours.

In 1914, Woodrow Wilson signed the proclamation creating Mother's Day (the second Sunday in May) as a national holiday to honor mothers.

But Mother’s Day really started in the beginning--on the eve of creation when God created man and thought it not good for him to be alone.

However, Eve wasn’t created just as a companion for Adam. She was created to be a mother. The Mother.

Her name means “mother of all who have life,” and through the seed of the woman was promised another mother who would carry the One who would grant everlasting life for all who repent and trust alone in Him. Do that today...

In Scripture a Christian is called a "believer." Yet, before my conversion, I believed in God. I believed that Jesus was the Son of God, and I believed that He rose from the dead. But I was not a believer in the biblical sense. This is because a believer is someone who has trusted Jesus for his eternal salvation. I hadn't taken that step of faith. A sky-diver can't rightly be called a sky-diver until he takes a leap of faith out of the plane, and a sinner can't be called a believer until he entirely puts his faith in Jesus Christ, through the new birth.

An unbeliever is called an "unbeliever," not because he doesn't believe in the existence of God, but because he lacks "saving" faith. He lives in what the Bible calls the "natural" world. He is like man who was born blind, who is reading a brail book called, "Amazing Color!" As he runs his fingers over the raised lettering, he whispers the words he is reading:

"The sky is a beautiful blue. Luscious green grass fills the landscape as far as the eye can see. Two color-filled gardens on each side of the grass area. On one side bright yellow flowers burst with wonderful color, and on the other side vivid red roses explode with amazing energy, each one cupped in a cradle of wonderfully intense green leaves. The recent refreshing rain has left drops on the plants sending streams of white light in different directions. A stunning rainbow, with its amazing seven colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, arches in all its glory across the massive blue heavens."

The blind man closes the book and thinks, "This makes no sense? I believe in science. I believe in logic and what can be proven, not in this thing called 'color.' I don't believe it exists, and anyone who does, is a fool."

He is right. His world does lack any semblance of color, so what could you say to such a closed-minded man? You could tell him that color exists, no matter what he does or doesn't believe about it. Reality isn't dictated by his belief. Then you could explain what color looks like. But how would explain "blue" or "red"? You can't say that blue looks "like" anything because the blind man hasn't anything in his mind to which he can compare it. What he needs is something you can't give him. He needs light and that would take a miracle.

The Bible says that the unbeliever is blind. He is enclosed in his own "natural" world-view. He cannot see, and he will often mock any thought of another dimension: "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Corinthians 2:14).

Every unbeliever is "alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart..." (Ephesians 4:18). And there's nothing you can do to help him to see, if he is not willing to be honest. He needs the "light":

"For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life" (Proverbs 6:23),

"In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them" (2 Corinthians 4:4).

If he is prepared to look at the Ten Commandments with an honest heart, they will illuminate him to his need and help him to understand the light of the glorious gospel of Christ. Jesus is the One who said, "I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" (John 8:12). There's the miracle.

It has arrived! 120 pages, softcover, full-color illustrations, very funny, low cost, evangelistic.

Take a sneak peek by clicking here: http://tinyurl.com/kg7b69t

Dogs don't eat as much as kids, don't ask for money, are easier to train, and usually come when you call them. They don't need a fortune for college, and if they get pregnant, you can sell their offspring.

If you are lonely or lack self-esteem, get a dog. Dogs are always pleased to see you, want to be by your side, and stare at you for no reason. That's love. They're loyal, friendly, forgiving, and make you laugh. They protect your family and your property, want to go for walks and play, and never gossip about you. Who could want a better friend?

They can even teach us about the benefit of obedience. Yet there are a few things dogs do that are annoying...

“Do you want arguments for soul winning? Look up to Heaven, and ask yourself how sinners can ever reach those harps of gold and learn their everlasting song, unless they have someone to tell them of Jesus, who is mighty to save. But the best argument of all is to be found in the wounds of Jesus. You want to honor Him, you desire to put many crowns upon His head, and this you can best do by winning souls for Him. These are the spoils that He covets, these are the trophies for which He fights, these are the jewels that shall be His best adornment.” Charles Spurgeon

“How can one witness to a Jehovah's Witness? They know so much about the bible and even revered Jesus but they don't believe that Jesus is God.” Rocio Soto

I make it a habit not to try and convince a Jehovah’s Witness that Jesus is God in human form. There are two reasons for this.
The first is that they have their own version of the Bible that removes references to the true nature of Jesus.

Second, when Jesus asked Peter “Who do you say that I am?” Jesus said to him that flesh and blood hadn’t revealed that truth to him, but “my Father who is in Heaven.” God is the one who reveals who Jesus is, so I leave that up to Him.

So you have two insurmountable hurdles if you argue doctrine with a JW. They move the goalposts, and they are spiritually blind.
The key to unlocking the door to them is to identify the real issue.
That issue is that JW’s are a works righteousness religion. You can uncover this by saying, “There’s a knife in my back and I have three minutes to live. What should I do to enter the Kingdom?” It’s then that you will discover that they are trusting in works for their salvation rather than in the grace of God through Jesus Christ.

So you have to put them up the River Niagara without a paddle.
Strip them of their false hope. No one will be saved through good works or by being religious. The way to do that is to take them through the spiritual nature of God’s Law (then Ten Commandments). Then share the biblical gospel with them--that we are saved by grace through faith alone (without works), and pray that God opens their eyes to the truth.

Once they are truly born again they will leave the Jehovah's Witnesses and become witness of Jesus Christ:

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and YOU SHALL BE WITNESS TO ME in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” Acts 1:8, caps added)

Mine is JEHOVAH God and his Son Jesus Jihn 17:3
