Opens up a world of possibilities and potential to make the world more connected. Starting Sharing your expertise. . #helpouts
Google launches Helpouts!

Google's eagerly awaited Helpouts was just officially announced!

The idea is to use Google+ video hangouts for connecting people who need help with stuff with those who can provide it. The help takes place live and one-on-one.

You can search for the kind of help you need, then choose who helps you based their fee, and also on qualifications, which you determine via ratings and reviews.

From the helper side, the Helpouts system will launch a thousand small businesses, which people with skills can do from anywhere.

On July 1, 2013, we will retire Google Reader. +Anand Kulkarni  +Rajat Khanduja  We shall miss the ease  that Google Reader provided in keeping up with so many blogs and latest updates

We launched Google Reader in 2005 in an effort to make it easy for people to discover and keep tabs on their favorite websites. While the product has a loyal following, over the years usage has declined. So,  Users and developers interested in RSS alternatives can export their data, including their subscriptions, with Google Takeout over the course of the next four months.

For Indians: Booking a ticket for I/O was similar to IRCTC -Indian Railways
#io13   #irctc #iofail
Lesson: When demand is huge not only IRCTC but even Google fails

Let's say 50,000 enthusiasts tried for a ticket to +Google I/O
Average Number of Tries= 5
Average Number of TImes one person  saw Alloted Tickets =1 but failed due to +Google Wallet
Number of minutes wasted watching "spin" = 6minutes
Total Time wasted = 50,000*6*5+50,000*1*5= 1,750,000 !!

1.75 million useful developer minutes wasted for #io13
To add to it the minutes wasted setting up wallet, building up excitations, daydreaming, procastination about being at I/O would probably shoot to 10 million minutes !!

But I think it was worth the wait for those who got in :)
For me it was #walletfail   => #io13fail . Alloted the ticket couldnt buy, first experience and a bad one with wallet.
