I made a plugin for PostHTML to render static React components earlier this week. It's probably of fairly limited use to most ppl - but you never know! ;)

A better/shorter/easier responsive image syntax:

<img src="/path/to/foo-320w-240h-1x.jpg" width="320" height="240" srcoptions="/path/to/foo-{width}-{height}-{dpr}.{format}, 320w 480w 640w, 1x 1.33x 2x, webp jpg"/>

Instead of explicitly listing each and every available url - we could list just the different options and build the url from that.

Described in more detail here: https://gist.github.com/rasmusfl0e/6727092

It seems so simple I'm wondering why I haven't seen a proposal like it floated about on the internets...

Feedback is welcome! :)

The Google Pagespeed team has suggested that inlining the needed CSS for above-the-fold content in a webpage will boost time-to-content considerably.

So I wrote up a Phantomjs script - dr-css-inliner - to help this process by extracting the needed CSS for a given webpage :)
