Are you trying to conceive? Kick the smoking habit.

Nicotine and carbon monoxide from cigarette smoke reduces egg supply and age the ovaries.

The Rashti Women’s Care team recommends staying away from secondhand smoke, marijuana and other recreational drug use when trying to conceive.

Ease perimenopause symptoms with iodine!

Iodine is essential for the production of hormones that help control weight and sex hormone production.

Consuming foods such as kelp, nori sheets and seafood will increase iodine in your diet.

Try this furikake recipe – use it like a flavored salt to sprinkle over rice, grilled fish, veggies or fried eggs.

Ingredients:
- 5 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
- 4 nori sheets, toasted
- 2 tsp flaky sea salt
- 1 tsp sugar

To make:
- Bake nori in a hot oven for 5-10 minutes until crispy, then crumble into small pieces.
- Place the crumbled nori in a spice grinder or food processor, add 2 tbsp sesame seeds, sea salt sugar. Blend until finely ground. Mix in the remaining sesame seeds.
