The TPP In Images

Anyone familiar with the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) may find that it can be challenging to explain to others, in simple terms, how it threatens our rights online and over our digital devices. We often begin by describing the secretive, corporate-captured process of the negotiations that ultimately led to the final deal, then go into some of the specific policies—including its ban on circumventing digital locks (aka Digital Rights Management or DRM), its copyright term extensions that will lengthen restrictions on creative works by 20 years, and its inclusion of "investor-state" rules that could empower multinational corporations to undermine new user protections in the TPP countries.

But sometimes it's easier and more effective to spread the word about a complicated issue with imagery. That's why we created this new infographic that highlights just three of the most problematic aspects of TPP. We hope this will help users, advocates, and innovators from around the world spread the word about how this agreement will impact them and their societies.

If you scroll down to the bottom, you can download these images as PNG files or as a single PDF file. In line with EFF's standard copyright policy, this infographic is licensed under CC-BY 3.0—so feel free to share and remix, as long as you provide attribution to the EFF.

Google's recently announced official support of the Trans-Pacific Partnership is wrong and evil

I'll be devoting my future use of G+ exclusively to objecting to this treaty and Google's support of it until such time as Google changes its position. I encourage you to do similarly.

I've also disabled all Circle feeds to my Home stream. I'll not be seeing much of what you post.

I encourage you most strongly to do similarly.

Should the treaty pass, I'll cancel this and other active G+ profiles and wipe content.

I'll be organising future public discussion at https://mkath.reddit.com/, please message the mods (that's me) to register.

(Yes, that's private for now, it'll be public, we're getting things set up.)

I've dealt with this shop for well over a decade, for both my personal vehicles & my work vehicles. Barry & Colin were good people who gave good advice and service. I called a few days ago to see if they had time to do a tire rotation, the girl on the phone was curt and unhelpful. I went there today and stood at the counter for several minutes while being ignored by 4 staff. I asked about Barry & Colin and was told that they had retired. I guess that explains the drastic change in customer service. I left and won't be back,or be recommending this shop anymore.

Nice place.Interesting displays, they could use more signage explaining what some of the tanks and displays contain,as the staff is small and not always right there.
