This is why you SHOULD drive with your lights on in ANY driving conditions (day/night/cloudy,rain).  I almost ran into a college girl, who was driving a small white car, in white snow, while it is snowing, on an un-plowed white road, and she did NOT have her headlights on.  It takes ZERO amount of battery to run your headlights, and maybe it saves your life!  Teach your kids to BE SEEN when driving.

Have you lost your camera recently? Andrew McDonald has a strategy that will increase the chance of getting your camera back. He took the following series of images and leaves them on his camera so that anyone who finds it and scrolls through his pictures will see them. Who knows, this may actually work...   (via http://goo.gl/WzJu1P)
Most of us photographers have a few ‘worst nightmare scenarios’. One of them is losing our cameras. Andrew McDonald has a strategy just for you that will increase the chance of getting your camera back. He took the following series of images and leaves them on his camera so that anyone who finds it and …

Hearing Amazing Grace on the bagpipes is the fastest way to get me to cry.  I can't hear 2 notes of it without getting emotional. I remember the exact moment this phenomenon first occurred.  I was young.  It was a movie as things in my life usually are.....

I remember being emotional about seeing Spock die in Wrath of Khan.  It was the saddest thing I recall seeing in my youth.  The heroic sacrifice...the immovable Kirk suddenly bleeding emotion...the whole thing was Shakespearean to me.  I remember seeing my father cry ...which was rare.... and all through it, played the pipes.

Stories move us ...even fantastical ones, movies, poetry...and most often, songs.  Amazing Grace on the bagpipes for me started with Spock's funeral in a movie.

Nimoy's death will hit others hard...as he's someone they admire. But more importantly, his life and his work live on ...to inspire a future generation.  To live long and prosper.

And most won't get this ... .but #RIP  Galvatron..... there was once a 12 year old boy who was the only one of his class to get a Galvatron for Christmas one year because he thought that Galvatron was cool in the Transformers movie.

I watched IV last night on #netflix  .  Leonard Nimoy directed.
I was stationed at Fort Ord, near the Monterrey Bay Aquarium when they filmed there. We tried to go watch, but there were so many people!

My friend said he'd teach me snow kiting, and I thought I would be using a board too. He said, you must MASTER the Kite first (learn to fly the kite). Then you will use the board + the kite.

I'll master the kite, I'm the Kite Master!  I had fun!!

+Nick Fox I'm sure that I would be very surprised.  The uncertainty principle would definitely be manifested in such an activity!

Introduction

Caught between the surface world and a constantly ravaging sea.

I am king of all things aqua. I can breathe underwater, swim at tremendous speeds, and telepathically communicate with sea life. I have attempted communicating with female humans above the surface, but it has proven to be difficult at times.

I am a Proud Father of Two Awesome Air Breathing Daughters!

I'm 3rd Generation Military.
My Grandpa was a pilot in WWI  (ARMY).
My Dad was a Fighter Pilot in Air Force WWII  & Korea.

My Older brother was NAVY.
I went ARMY as a Combat Engineer (Light) SAPPER.

For religious reasons, I am a huge supporter of Israel and the Jewish people!

I learned to dive in Southern California in 1975 when I was 13, (I lied and said I was 14) and was Jr. Certified by NAUI, PADI, and L.A. County Dive Associations.  Soon after I got my adult, certification.

Making the mistake of going to see JAWS (movie) halfway through the dive class was not the smartest thing to do in retrospect. I was pretty much afraid to even be in the pool alone for a few months after. I remember the instructor got mad at me for going to see that movie.

As soon as I got my certification, I went with some older friends to go diving on the back-side of Catalina Island (26 miles S/W of Los Angeles, CA). I think I was 15 by then, and only had about 10 official dives so far. So, everyone in our 6 person group is spear-fishing Sheephead fish and other fish.

So, I start thinking of how much the fish are bleeding, with all the blood in the water and I think of the "JAWS" movie, and I start getting scared.
Right then, I am at about 40’ depth, the light goes dark all around me as a huge monster goes over the top of me blocking out the sun. I assume the worst:  Great White Shark!

Luckily it was a Giant Manta Ray, but I was too scared to stay in the water any more. I got out and sat on my friend’s boat and waited till they all surfaced, they all said that was the biggest ray they had ever seen. We ate abalone and lots of fish that night!

Now, I’m not so afraid of Sharks, but I still don’t like Shark movies  :)

Shark Video in the Bahamas (I worked as a Dive Instructor, and today was my turn to video)   at the 2:00 minute mark it gets fun!  http://youtu.be/CAVaAk3m_CM

I'm a PADI Scuba Instructor, and  have dove all over the Southern California coast, the islands and beaches along Baja Mexico, Cozumel, Cabo, Cayman's, and the Bahamas.

My deepest dive to date is 227’. I have done cave dives, and have 4,100 + dives.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

You see it doesn't matter if your a Female, or Male, green, black, orange, white, brown, or checkered color. We are all equal. It is Character that counts. How you treat others is the most important thing I can think of.

I think GOD thinks that way too.

I have been coming here since the early 70's. It is always fun, lots of things to do, and sometimes the fishing is great! Great trail bike riding, boating on the lake is fun, and the people at the lodge are very nice. I recommend it!
