And now we wait. The wort has to boil for an hour. The propane burner will bring these 6 gallons of wort to a boil in about 20 minutes.

On the left is an Oud Bruin ale. Its been in the glass carboy since the beginning of April, and is finally starting to show signs of bacterial infection. It should be nice and sour in another 6 months. I picked up a few ounces of oak cubes today to add to it.

On the right is an Irish Stout that was dumped onto the yeast cake left behind from the Oud Bruin. I think a sour stout will be tasty. Its showing a lot more signs of infection, probably because it has more air space than the other one does. Its smells kinda funky, but it tastes kinda fun-kay.

How can my thesis idea be so clear in my head, but turn into a 4+ page, single spaced mess when I try to write it down?

"No power? How can we have no power? We're living in the future!" Seriously though, we're on our second day without power and I'm about to go kill the people up the street and steal their power...

Trying to finish a keg of Belgian Tripel. 4 pints in and the keg is winning....
